Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hair dye/ombre/help?!?

    Hi everyone.
So basically last march I dyed my hair pink for shave or dye with bleach. Then when i dyed it back brown i had a severe allergic reaction (to PPD), swelling of the general face/neck area. A quick visit to the A+E sorted this out in a matter of days.

At the time my hair was short and I've not really cut it since, only fixing split ends and that. As time went on the brown faded and the bleach began to come through, giving an ombre/dipdye effect (my roots are now around my ears and below).

anyway onto my question. The blondish/light part of my hair is turning an unfortunate yellow colour. I have no intentions of cutting my hair as i have my debs in a matter of months.
Does anyone know if it would be safe to use a light blonde dye on the bottom part of my hair to increase the dip-dye effect in an eye friendly colour?
Would i be prone to a reaction if the dye doesn't touch my head?
    Thanks!

You can get ppd free colour done in salon by alfaparf - just make sure and get a skin test first to check for reaction

You could try just use a toner if it's kinda a blonde yellow, it'll cool it down!

Would toners not have the same chemicals as dye, ppd ammonia etc?
Sorry I have no idea about these things!

I have a bottle of toner that I haven't used, but it contains no ammonia/ peroxide/ harsh chemicals.
    This is it!

If I was you, I would go to a hairdresser. Surely you learned your lesson the last time you ended up in A&E.
By your own admission, you don't know what you're doing so leave it to a professional.

I was always leaving it to a professional. I just wanted to know what to ask for!
