    Some advise please,

The scope rail on my Ruger is slightly loose -the two back screws on the rail keep turning and don't tighten, screws look ok so i think its the threads on the receiver are the problem.

    What are my options?

Lock tight them screws with medium strength lock tight.

    Is it a new ruger?

NO do a proper job on it. Lock-tight is not the answer on stripped threads

Re-tap them out to 4mm and then use 4mm screws.
A 4mm tap will go right into the holes without the need to drill it out any more. Get the screws from Woodies.

If the screw are to long then run a nut up on the thread and cut them to the size required and then take off the nut to make the end of the thread nice.
