Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The FA Youth Cup cometh, played over two legs the return fixtures are

    Norwich v Nottingham Forest 16 April 2013 19:45 Hrs

    Chelsea v Liverpool 19 April 2013 19:00 Hrs

and again will be shown by ITV4.

Nottingham Forest v Norwich City Wednesday
Matt Smith presents coverage of the semi-final first-leg clash at the City Ground, where the teams will attempt to gain an advantage in the tie ahead of the second leg. Forest booked their place in the last four with a 3-2 home victory over Bolton Wanderers, securing the win in extra-time after the match finished 2-2 at the end of normal time, while Norwich City defeated Everton 4-2. Commentary by Sam Matterface and Clarke Carlisle, and analysis from Stuart Pearce

Both these sides have progressed to the semi finals by 1 goal victories at every stage bar that 4-2 win by Norwich, suggesting this should be quite tight.

    Liverpool v Chelsea Friday
Coverage of the semi-final first-leg at Anfield, featuring the stars of the academy teams at two of the Premier League's biggest clubs. Both sides booked their place in this round with victories away from home, with Liverpool beating Hull City 3-0 and Chelsea winning 2-1 at Derby County. Presented by Matt Smith, with commentary by Jim Beglin and analysis from Robbie Fowler
Liverpool have steam-rolled their way to the semi finals conceding just 1 goal while scoring 17. Chelsea have had it tougher will only one comfy win and one game going to extra time.

I've seen every game round Liverpool have played this season so it'll be great to watch them on telly rather than on a stream.

I'm watching this on ITV4, Forest have just about shaded the first half in terms of chances,, with Ferrier hitting the bar on 25 minutes. The Ivorian Gnahore is a bag of tricks on the right wing, very direct. There's a Murphy chap in midfield for Norwich who's got a full range of skills, also Morris up front has kept the Forest centre halves on their toes.

Both teams keeping the ball on the deck which is great to see.

Hall Johnson puts Norwich ahead right at the death, with his hand.

Wow, how did I miss tonight's game?

Sarcasm is the lowest form of humour.

The Norwich left back looked no more than 12! It all got very scrappy in the second half. FT 1-0 to Norwich

Dont know they must not have the rights to show it in Ireland. Watching it on a stream now but not the same as on TV :(

    HT 0-0

Liverpool have been forced into setting up the Spanish way - a false number 9, with Jack Dunn the player chosen for the job, he'd normally be wide right cutting in on his left peg. Its not been easy for him. The best chances have come from wide - Ibe and Petersen forcing saves and last ditch clearances. Chelsea look a talented bunch, some nice passing but some poor finishing though Lussey denied them a likely goal with a brilliant last ditch tackle just before halft time.

Fantastic end to the game for Chelsea, certainly wouldn't count chickens yet though, there have been some big turnarounds in Youth football. Hopefully it will be a nice comfortable 0 0 draw at Stamford Bridge (doubt it though!)

We need to look at strikers for every level of the club. Some very good attacking midfielders though.

The whole Liverpool game was compromised by Sinclair not playing (until the last 5 mins) Hopefully he'll be ready for the return leg otherwise Liverpool have zero chance.

Norwich overcame Nottingham Forest tonight in the second leg, Forest won 1-0 on the night, making it 1-1 on aggregate. Extra time saw no more goals thus it went to penalties and the Canaries won 5-4.

    Hard luck Forest.

Shame about mclaughlin and ibe but sinclair is a big plus. Think its just a bridge too far for the lads tonight

I just hope they get at them from the off, no point looking to try and control the game when 2-0 down. Better a mad 4-2 agg than a miserable 3-0 agg!

Ibe/Mclaughlin are probably two of our best players at this level. Hard to see how we will overturn Chelsea tonight without them.

Anyone watching this should keep an eye on Boga. He's probably the most impressive kid I watched in this years Next Gen. I've seen him a couple of other times for Chelsea and has looked a little special each time. Only just turned 16 as well.

Terrible defending but great run and a very calm finish from Peterson. Come on!

    1-0 Liverpool.

That guy with the Luiz hair style who just scored Chelsea's second looks a super player. (Ake?) He even has Luiz style when driving out of defense with the ball :)

    and that's that!

Horrid horrid use of the ball at that free kick which lead directly to the Chelsea attack on goal from which they scored the first. It was something only appropriate if Andy Carroll were playing.

    Lovely ball from Baker
