Property Tax Payment Issues

10-04-2013 8:40pm#1I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone ahead and paid the Property Tax already and, if so, did the payment process go smoothly?
I paid last week, Wednesday I think, online via Visa Debit. The details went through and I got a confirmation number. On Monday a charge appeared on my bank account but it wasn't actually taken out, as in the details were there but my account balance didn't go down. When I check the payment status on revenue.ie, it says the balance is outstanding.
It's just a pain really. I don't know where I stand and when I should expect to be charged. I just want it out of the way, not all this faffing about and chasing them up over it. It does say that it can take up to 7 days to process, it's just that the charge has already appeared on my account so I'm wondering what the hold up is.
Has anyone else paid already? Have ye had any issues or has payment gone through/been charged properly? Any chance the problem is the Visa Debit card? I wasn't asked for the passcode the way you normally are when paying online, would this make a difference?
Any ideas would be great, thanks.
