Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can fuel allowance be paid retrospectively?

Just realised today that I never recieved a fuel allowance this year even though I recieved it for the past few years. My payments change from a means tested payment to back to education during the school year and as I was being paid in the bank I never noticed it until I went to check today how much I would be down each week.

So as per my title; can fuel allowance be paid retrospectively? Or have they changed it that you need to apply each year?

Normally no. Would you still be entitled to FA if on BTEA?

I have recieved it every other year I was on it so can't imagine why not.

You have to apply every year now ,
And being its heading towards mid /end of April you might not get a cent

In the normal course of events it isn't paid retrospectively, but if it was an error on DSP's behalf that it wasn't paid then they would backdate it to correct the error.

Your problem could possibly be establishing that they were at fault, but you should contact the BTEA section to see what they have to say.
