Not sure of any electrical store that would be open of a Saturday afternoon, but Woodies and B&Q would have them.

You may not get the cable in a large amount though.

    Argos do extension kits... http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5342835/c_1/1|category_root|Home+entertainment+and+sat+nav|14419512/c_2/3|19780832|Television+accessories|14419521/c_3/4|cat_14419521|TV+aerials%2C+boosters+and+accessories|28589765.htm

Maplin's in Blackpool Retail Park for specialist stuff.

Also Dwyers at Forge Hill (off airport road) has a lot of satellite / TV wiring accessories,

Much better prices and higher quality materials than a DIY store!

Are you in a rush to get what you need op?
If you can wait till Monday head to Eastern Electrical or MCK.
Dwyers is handy, that's about it though, there more expensive than other places.

I actually got the connectors for the cable in Soundstore in Oliver Plunkett St but my cable is not working :-(

I had a TV upstairs connected by a cable to the Sky Box downstairs but I brought it down to the Kitchen and cut the cable. I've attached the connector several times but it now won't pick up a signal.

Gonna have to try a new Cable....

Well, I was just getting the same connection as the one that was upstairs. Basically the lead went through the kitchen, outside, up the drainpipe to the attic and down to the Telly upstairs.

I just cut the cable outside and pulled it inside and tried using the old connector from upstairs.

That didn't work so I got a pack of 2 new ones today and put it on following a Youtube instruction.

Plugged into back of Kitchen TV and tried to tune the TV, ensuring the sky box was on. It's just not picking up anything

When I take the first cover off the end of the lead, the stringy brass wires are not particulary clean. When i twist them around then it leave a black reside in my fingers so it looks like they are slightly rusted. I don't know how this can happen inside a wire!!!

Do you think Dwyers could put together a new lead 8m in length with the connectors on it?
