    Anyone know what happened to Supermacs in Athy?

    I rolled up for my weekly "treat" only to find the windows whitewashed and the signage removed.

    The snack box from the chipper was distinctly inferior!

    Noticed the same today as we passed through.
    That was always a bad location with no proper parking.

    I heard about 2 months ago that KFC were moving in there and that supermacs was closing.

    Had to be the roughest Supermacs in Ireland. Attracted a shockingly rough element the few times I was there.

    No problem.That used to be one of the busier Supermacs years ago.Heard they wanted to revamp but were stuck paying crazy rent!..anyway,it will be good to see something opening in Athy and the food in Chicken America in Newbridge is pretty good.

    The quality of Chicken America had declined over the years. It used to be a great takeaway.
