Summer is getting close... finally! This May Bank Holiday Sunday Melodic+ is back with a bang and two of our favorite acts for a special double header in the Loft of The Grand Social.

Given the massive reaction we've gotten since announcing this gig some weeks ago, we've decided to make a proper party of this one. We're opening in the garden at 8pm with a seriously impressive line-up of local talent supplying summertime, Café del Mar groovers to get you in the mood for the big boys in the main room when the sun goes down. No charge until 11pm .

Edu's performances for us in Dublin have been epic. He went so far as to list his last gig in Dublin in his top 3 of last year, alongside Space in Ibiza and Truth in South Africa.

Los Suruba have been releasing so many huge tracks on their Suruba labels that it's hard to keep count! Such an enthusiastic and energetic pair. These lads know how to party!

This is going to be a sell out show, each visit from Edu has seen us have to close our doors shortly after 12am. This time, in a bigger, top quality venue we're looking forward to having even more of you in to party with us late into the night!

    BIOs

Edu Imbernon is a great example of how a young artist can pave his way to become respected on the electronic scene with his talent as producer and dj.

After the worldwide hit “El baile alemán” (Liebe Detail, 2009) produced with his friend Coyu, appointed “Best Underground Track of the Year” by Beatport , several tracks for labels as important as Get Physical, Young Turks, Skint, Stil vor Talent, Cr2, Noir Music, Trapez, Great Stuff, Dynamic and his own label Eklektisch.

His quality as producer and his ability to add a nu-disco tint to the dancefloor edge of his tracks have led him to remix bands such as The XX showcasing this homogenous blend of electronica, house and indie. Succesful remixes for Maya Jane Coles or X-press2 came afterwards.

The emergence of Edu Imbernon on the dance scene couldn’t go by unnoticed by the specialised press which has acknowledged his artistic quality by awarding him several prizes: Best New Producer 2010 and Best Track 2010 and 2011 at the Spanish Dance Music awards, and also named an up-and-coming star by Beatport in 2010.

His aim is to make music that can be felt, full of energy to reach the audience. “This is the only way that people will remember your music, trying to make them feel something special and making them dance”, in the words of this young artist who’s already played on 4 continents. He’s here to make his mark!

Spanish duo Delmar and Alvaro have been spinning and producing records since they formed ‘Los Suruba’ soon after studying design and music engineering together. They have enjoyed a meteoric rise to the upper floor of the underground house music scene and along the way have rocked crowds with fluid and versatile house and techno.

They command Suruba Records, a four tiered label that covers almost every imaginable section of electronic music output, and have overseen an obscene amount of releases since its formation in 2007.

About their productions Los Suruba have released on labels such as Culprit L.A., Get Physical, Defected, Stil Vor Talent, Noir Music, Suruba, Mexa Records, Darkroom Dubs, Eklektisch, Suruba X or Time Has Changed...and soon on Skint Records.

Being able to produce music, manage the labels, and stay on top of the wave as the hottest dj tag team in Spanish underground tech-house circuit, this guys are showing off that “Surubbing” is not easy as it looks, but it definitely is very, very funny.
