Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

RVP looks wrecked coming off at half time. If he doesn't score today he'll equal Torres's longest run without a goal at Chelsea.

    Indeed.

I wonder what the "it's never your fault" chant was all about?

With tomorrow in my mind it's pretty obvious again

Torres has scored 14 league goals in 74 matches for Chelsea. RVP has 19 in 28 for United. There's no comparison.

Ah c'mon Officer Cambo...you can't go from being so good at spotting chants one day to completely missing them the next.

Where was the outrage when Reading fans were singing it yesterday?

Only I brought it up in the match thread it wouldn't have been discussed at all. Point proved anyway...
It's not what they're chanting it's who is chanting it.

I'm sure it is, but the "outrage" seems to be lapped up when it's United.

Apparently it was with you's, but what difference does that make anyway?

You can always tell there's **** all happening in a match when the faux outraged brigade arrive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

    Yes it was.

Well i wasn't watching it so i wasn't aware of any chants by Reading fans. I'm watching this match though and i've heard the chants. Liverpool aren't even playing Utd today so why is it being sung?

Maybe ask the people at the match and not try and use it as a stick to beat people sitting at home that have nothing to do with it.

Not really. I didn't watch yesterdays game live and if I did I would have had the same opinion.
The Munich and Hillsborough chants are never acceptable and always disappointing to hear from any set of fans.

To be fair you were in stirring sh*t yesterday before the first round of chanting had even finished. So nobody had a chance to comment on it, and when it was mentioned a few people commented on it.

Thanks for ignoring today's chanting and proving my point anyway.

go away monkey, too hungover to listen to this sh1te

what answer do you want, nobody here is singing it

That's just bullshìt, I waited to see if anybody mentioned it before I posted.

And I don't post during United games, so double fail.

I'll reply after the game of you have anything else to say.

That's fine, I believe you from your perspective, but it can be argued that doesn't apply for all Liverpool supporters.

Makes no difference whether you post during games or not, your first post yesterday was a pathetic attempt to stir up a reaction to chanting. Yet today there is no mention of it. No need to reply to me after the game, I think your false moral crusading against horrible football chants has been shown up enough to today.

The roar that goes up every time they win a throw in Uniteds half is embarrassing.

A load of Irish fans not at the game posting about what is being chanted. Jesus wept. Of all the things those watching from their armchair have no right to really criticise.

Anyway, Rooney is looking like he is coming into some form. His passing has been slicker. Good to see. Hernandez showing some good link play too.

Can't really remember a team perform as averagely as United so frequently, yet hoover up points this comfortably. Credit to Ferguson.

Please drop the chant discussion. It can't be discussed without petty point scoring. Keep to the football.

United were good between November and March, rather than average. Looked shaky at the start of the season and ever since the Madrid matches, though.

No, but they look very comfortable all the same. The 31 games before this one are over though.

1-0 is never comfortable, all it takes is one chance

I wonder what chance of Pulis getting the sack if Stoke lose this?

They're looking like Sunderland under O'Neill. Devoid of ideas and don't look like turning things around.
