Chelsea fan here, bitter as f*ck with that result. Disappointed with the performance.
citeh should have had two red cards and a couple of extra yellows too.
Torres incident was a peno all day long kompany had hold of his shirt. Simple. I don't buy this ref didn't see it sh*te. He was 20 yards away. Take a look at a tree 20yrds away. see the leaves? Course you can. 20yrds.

Ref will be dropped from top tier duty after this 'performance'.

Best of luck in the final.

I'd be surprised if he did get banned for it. Players usually only get retrospectively banned for off the ball incidents than none of the match officials would have seen.

Can't ever remember them retrospectively banning a player for a coming together like that apart from the Ben Thatcher incident which was an exception.

I think a 2 footed stamp whilst the man is lying on the ground is an exception !

    A coming together  really?

He set out to do damage no coming together there, he should get a ban for it, weather it be on the ball of off the ball. Overwise it's just saying to other players go on have a go, so long as the officials can't see you'll be sound.

I used the term 'coming together' in the sense that it wasn't an off the ball incident, I wasn't trying to make light of Aguero's challenge.

Do you remember the Balotelli challenge on Song last season, the potential leg breaker that he received no booking for?

This is what the FA had to say on it...
"Retrospective action can only be taken in scenarios where none of the Match Officials saw the players coming together.
"The normal scenarios in which retrospective action is taken are for ‘off the ball’ incidents.
"Retrospective action was introduced for off the ball incidents where there was no contest for possession and could not be deemed to be re-refereeing an incident.
"In agreement with FIFA, this is how ‘not seen’ incidents are dealt with retrospectively in England. It is a policy that is agreed with all football stakeholders."

I am not agreeing with them here, I am just saying that Aguero is very unlikely to be banned.

F*cking hell. When you see that Aguero lunge again in the replays it truly is horrific. If some dopey linesman comes out and says he "saw it" and he escapes punishment, there is no hope for football. That's a ban plain and simple and it should be handed out.

Aguero is a truly fabulous player but that sort of thing needs to be dealt with.

The Balotelli tackle, as mentioned in my previous post, was just as bad imo.

If he gets away with this , it will be an absolute disgrace !

Hm ya from that it doesn't look like Aguero will get punished for it.

It's ridiculous, because if he was booked for it he couldn't have no retrospective punishment for it either. Absolutely horrible tackle, and Luiz is lucky he got him in his backside, landing on other places would have done more damage.

A tackle like that should be more than a 3 match ban. The McManaman tackle a few weeks ago it could be argued he was going for the ball and still a 3 match ban would have been justified. Here there is absolutely no attempt made to get the ball and had the potential to really hurt Luiz. Aguero is a player I really like despite the rivalry and really didn't think he had something like this in him, very disappointing.

    Classy from David Luiz
Chelsea star David Luiz says he forgives Sergio Aguero for his two-footed challenge on him.

The Argentine and the Brazilian came together towards the end of the FA Cup semi-final clash between Manchester City and Chelsea, which saw the holders go out 2-1.

After a shoulder challenge, Aguero two-footed follow through caught Luiz, but it was seemingly not spotted by referee Chris Foy.

But Luiz does not hold it against Aguero, and said: "I never saw Aguero do a bad tackle on other players. It was five seconds of anger and I forgive him.

It is unlikely the South American will face restrospective action as it occured within a Luiz challenge that meant even the Brazilian wasn't exactly sure what had happened.

"Many people have said to me about this tackle. I didn't see it because I was on my back," he said.

"I felt it a little bit. Sometimes in a game people have five seconds when they are angry and do things they don't like to do. I think it was that.

"Aguero's a great player, he needs to be honest with himself and say I don't like to do bad tackles.

"People are happy when Aguero scores goals and does good things in the game.

"Many kids see the game, watch the game and they want to see good things and not bad things."

How in the name of Christ was that not a penalty... Truly mind-boggling

No action to be taken against Aguero, lucky boy.

Very lucky, did it mention anywhere that Foy said he seen it and didnt deem it to be a cardable offence, which is my tak eon it, seeing as I have a gave free kick not 2 seconds prior to the incident.

Nasty from Aguero but there was a lot of niggling little tackles and blatant fouls going on around the pitch and Torres caught Aguero with a rake a few moments later only for Foy to give Ramires a talking too, presumably because he thought he done it and also because he was already booked.

Rooney got away with elbowing McCarthy was it a few months ago or last season, that was a terrible decision.

Suarez got away with one too against Wigan at Anfield earlier this season.
I think the reason given today was that Foy saw part of the incident.

Ya, giving the free kick for the incident that led to the stamp he must have seen it, therefore nothing can be done.

Only saving grace for us is Luiz is ok, apart from an Aguero boot print on his arse. :pac:

Steady on, there wouldn't have been action for them either.

No conspiracy here, in fact it's the FA being consistent.

It was two seasons ago now, and there was no chance of Rooney getting a retrospective ban there because the ref dealt with the incident by giving Wigan a free kick.

If anyone had read what the FA had to say about the Balotelli on Song incident last season, it was obvious that Aguero wasn't going to get banned and nor would anyone else have done.

I would find it easy to get over the fa taking no action if aguero had the bottle to put his hands and admit he was wrong.

which was more than made up for when they banned him for swearing at the camera.

United players get punished, unlike others.

In fairness I don't remember too many people running towards a camera and shouting '**** yeah' or whatever it was to the masses watching on TV.

Rooney and everyone else gets away with whatever language they use on the pitch. You don't need to direct it to the viewers though.

Christ, if Utd fans feel this sorry for themselves already, imagine what it'll be like when they stop winning stuff.
