Regarding being undercooked I think its no harm going into the race feeling like that especially given you have been running consistently well last few months. Your in good shape man don't forget that. Remember this race is not about beating me, its about putting the fear of god into a certain BP runner :p

You'll need to find a few more seconds so. ;) I know because his half PB is a second faster than mine. You'll have to get a second the other side and give him a taste of his own medicine.

Hahaha I'll try KU. We'll see- think a lot will have to go right on the day to get down that low. Course suits me though- first 6.6 w/ two decent climbs and then a long sloping gradual downhill to Coney Island. Reckon if I can hang on the first 10k in 5:50-5:55 pace I can use the downhill to bang out low 5:40's - thats the plan anyways.

At any rate by 8:30am I should be eating a hot dog and sipping on a beer in a baseball stadium and at noon I'll be watching the Gunners win the FA cup so its all good!

5km in 18:07, 10km in 36:37. Little bit of a slowdown, but looking at the gradient map, it's all downhill from here. Go DrQ!

edit: 1:17:27, savage stuff, well done DrQ. Enjoy the beer :)

Fair play man. Doing those sort of times fully fresh last year would have been a great achievement. The fact you are doing them in a spell of minimal sleep definitely bodes well for DCM (you may not think it is affecting your training that much but after seeing your zombie like state in Limerick I can tell you that it will make a difference.)

Enjoy post race refreshments. One word........ Radagast

Thanks all. Blew up pretty bad from 11-13 but kinda reflects that my training hasn't been great . Still a one min PB so not complaining at all. Race report to follow but FA cup and beer first

FYI absolutely savage race if you're looking for a half in the USA you could do a lot worse - 40,000 runners so my biggest one pretty cool.

DrQ, perhaps you should spend the day reflecting on your great run - and stay away from television sets and football streams...
