Perfect splits for TRR, still on 2:35 pace. 18:22 and 18:24.
Abhainn picked it up: 18:38 and 18:32. Now on 2:36 pace.
    BB: 20:48/20:52 for 2:55
    Gavlor: 20:49/20:56 for 2:56
    Robin accelerating: 20:24/20:09, for 2:51

Looks like Dom/Gavlor may be have found man-love.

Philip Niland on 10k at 39:10

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,643 ✭✭✭ThePiedPiper

At 15k, the leaders are at projected 2:03:45.. not quite as fast as last year.. Be great if a few of them could keep that pace up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,525 ✭✭✭✭Krusty_Clown

TRR: Smooth as peanut butter: 18:22/18:24/18:25 @2:35
    Abhainn: bang on: 18:38/18:32/18:39 @2:37
    Robin: 20:24/20:09/20:31 @2:51
    BB: 20:48/20:52/21:28 for 2:57
    Gavlor: 20:49/20:56/21:11 for 2:57

BB a slightly slower split. Hopefully he's tying a shoe-lace, rather than having rib issues.
    Gavlor also down a little.

TRR solid through 15k on 2:35 pace still.

Gotta say- I absolutely despise this pacer business. These races need to back to the days where everyone just raced each other. It just cheapens the race imo

More talking about the elites when I rant against the pacing...

What the hell happened them all in that 4th 5k? Unfortunate we've no idea what happened Jeptoo?

BTW Haile G's pace job just made Ecoli's last 5 outings look actually good. :D:D:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,866 ✭✭✭drquirky

BeepBeep and Gav have slowed a bit to 2:57 pace… Meno down to 3:08….come on lads keep it going…

Anyone know if the pace in the tracking splits 5k, 10k etc is the pace just for those splits or is if he overall pace up to that point?

It's the predicted finish, so takes all splits into account (i.e. average pace).

Meno & Fran could be well together based on their 15K splits.

Watching this makes you realise once again what a shame it is that DCM is not televised anymore. Wouldn't it be fantastic to be able to watch the Irish and visiting elites (if any)? Shame:(

Overpronator through 15k on 3:18 pace

Watch when he hits 30k if he's feeling strong we may see a super fast closing

Cheers Krusty, I was looking too closely at the splits and didn't see the estimated finish time :o Think I need another pot of coffee!
