Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Arsenal still overplaying it a tad.

Someone please text Moyes and tell him it's normal to make a substitution before they score, not after.

Sounds like you're trying to get away from the reality that you're in a real tough game here.

Barkley off, Jelavic on. Barkley's been one of our bright sparks tonight, but I think it's the right call by Moyes.

Anyone noticed what seems like a massive decline in Chamberlain's confidence since he got back into the first team?

Jayzus how has that not gone in. Some block.

    Seamus Coleman, what a defender.

Just noticed Oviedo is on the bench, he definitely can't do any worse than Pienaar.

Ah you'll be fine. The ref will carry ye to the end. Some ridiculous reffing is undermining a decent Everton performance.

    0-0. I suppose a draw isnt awful.

    Probably a fair result.
    Everton's rough-house tactics worked.

Fair result. Everton continue to impress.

I wouldn't felt hard done by if we lost but can't really argue with a draw. Its a pity Everton felt the need to resort to Stoke style tactics to have an impact. I was going for a more open game between two good teams.

Yeah sure, lets ignore the rules. I guess a deserved sending off would ruin your fantastic flowing game.

For all the pre game talk Everton took a draw with 20 minutes to go. Their subs crawling off the pitch in stoppage time showed that.

    Ramsey MOTM

everton defended well but arsenal was poor infront of goal. two or 3 clear cut chances there and fluffed it.

When it is time to perform and win a match, 9/10 Wenger and his team fail to do so but to be fair, the Arsenal of 2-3 years ago would have bottled it and lost such a crucial match.

Top 4 still doable as Spurs have to play city on sunday

Strange game, lots to enjoy about it but you never have that feeling when Arsenal apply the pressure that the goal is coming like you would with United in a similar situation. Hard to pinpoint any particular flaw just lacking that assured mentality.

Quality players seems an obvious one, especially front men.

    u sure?

we had RVP last season and still struggled in games like this

Should have won. I like Giroud, but he seems to need 5 decent chances to score one. He brings other players into the game wonderfully though.

Ramsey was our best, Coleman there's. Cazorla is wasted on the wing and Podolski should have started even if it meant dropping Jack. He still isn't fit.

No major drama, take the positives; created lots, kept a clean sheet, everyone came out unscathed and its still in our hands iirc.

Overall Arsenal have a better squad than last year though but they lack a quality striker/forward. With RVP in this current squad Arsenal wouldn't be struggling to get fourth. Cazorla, Podoloski and Giroud have all been good to excellent signings which has been a big improvement on last year where they really only had RVP.

Coleman was outstanding today as well as Jagielka but for me personally i most enjoyed watching Fellaini today. I personally feel he is a much better footballer in his natural defensive minded midfield position and he hassled arsenal all game except for the poor clearance in the first half he played the role perfectly.

Anichebe was poor today but at the same time the service into him was shocking but that is no excuse for getting bullied by koscielny for most the match.

Finally, Barkley showed the good and the bad in this game, the bad was mainly due to lack of experience and giving it away with a few sloppy passes letting them through (jagielka last ditch block for example) but the good was tearing arteta a new one, his effort in the 2nd half and his hold up play at times was also very good, looks like his confidence grew as the game went on and can see him playing alot more next season.
