Four month old Garmin 910xt. When charging it might say, for example 43%.......44%......45%.....100%

After a few seconds it always goes to 100% but then says only a few bars of charge.

I've done a hard reset with no joy.

    Any ideas?

With your track record with the 910, I'd suggest a polar :D

Yip, reflashed it a while back and doing again now.

Pain in my nutsack with this sh1te. Could have been doing this for a while but just not noticed as normally "charge" under my desk in work.

Never in the history of Polar has there ever been a report of a Polar fogging.

At least until I gave mine to Tunney :(

My 405 does that too but only if I let the battery go to almost zero. If I don't let it go below 10-15% and charge it it is fine.

Under this it says 100% within about 5 minutes.

A quick google and Garmin site pops up with a few stories about this - here's one https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?24724-Only-100-Battery
