Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes. I know for sure you can buy online and pick it up in store (you choose which store at check out). I assume you can also walk in and ask for one if they have them, but if you buy online you can be sure of getting the one you want.

You can only purchase refurbished models online from Apple's site.

Retail stores would have at best a very limited selection of models that have been returned to them. They are called "refreshed" and usually cost more than refurbished items.

They did keep refurbs in stock in the big stores late last year. The Mrs bought an iPad 3 refurb for her sister online and picked it up on 5th Ave about an hour later. This was a day after the iPad 4 came out in November so perhaps it was a one off to sell to people that missed out on the mini. I see now the refurb iPads have a 7 day lead time to collect in store.

So, OP, if you have at least a week before you arrive you can still buy online and collect.

You could also just order one online and have it delivered to your hotel. If you order with your apple ID you can review (to see est. delivery date) and cancel your order online up to the "preparing for shipment stage" (in case your order will get there too early/late). When the ipad is delivered the recipient has to sign their name (which will show in the delivery details online) so just in case it goes "missing" you know which hotel employee to contact. There may be better offers around in stores though, I read several iPads were already discounted in shops like Walmart and bestbuy.
