Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dont know if a "Year" has anything to do with the restriction of a bike. Most likely 3 ways to restrict a bike is ECU, Throttle Stop and Carbs....I have an 09 FZ6 factory restricted model and it aint the ECU (unless swapped out before I got it) but I can see the small nut on the side stopping the full twist of the throttle. I can get just a little over 3/4s of the turn but does not hamper the bikes performance really.

2k model is more than likely carb restricted.

take her out and see if she starts to struggle over 7k rpm, if it does, she's restricted but if you can hit 10k rpm and feel that Yamaha pull then she isn't.

They should be all carb restricted. Very easy to install. My dad done mine on two bikes for me. Bought all my restriction stuff from the UK instead of paying 300 euro from a garage.
