    Hey guys
Can anyone recommended a sky installer in the carlow area (specifically Rathvilly).

I have sky installed for some time but changed the old sky box to a newer sky plus box. Need to get a second run of satellite cable from the dish to box to enable the extra features. Think the dish may need an extra part also.

    Thanks

Dish might need an LNB if it been up a while - very unusual nowadays to get less than a 2-way lnb, due in no small part to the increasing use of sky+, which needs two cables from dish to box to make use of all features. Have a look, if you can see it -

    This is a single

and comparing to a 4-way for example

That is the only part that would need replacing - you'll pick them up on ebay or amazon for small money, and they are very easy to remove and re-fit if you can access the dish.

In terms of the cabling if you are anyway handy at all you could run it yourself, measure out how much you need and allow a few feet just incase ;)
then go to the nearest electrical suppliers and ask for that length of co-ax cable and 2 screw on "f" connectors
then run teh cable and have a look at the below links to fit the connectors after they are fitted just screw them into the relevant ports on the LNB above and the back of the sky box
