Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any recomondations on a device that will turn a standard TV into a smart tv that can be used to view Netflix/saorview and RTE Player etc?

Android has a Netflix app. RTE Player is flash so works in the android browser (up until android 4.1, after which you may need to sideload flash). Also, RTE have produced a Player app for iOS which can't be using flash so an Android version is probably in the pipeline.

    Therefore I'd go for:
    * An android HDMI dongle with reviews that state it is HD capable.
    * Or a safer long term bet is to wait until June 4th for the Ouya launch. It's a $99 android games console, but it'll double as a media centre. It'll get the Netflix app as well either directly in the Ouya market or via sideloading. It's a good bet as it's going to have a much bigger user base than a random dongle and therefore be supported for a few years at least, http://www.ouya.tv/discover/

Other things to consider: small quiet computer, roku, wd live, ps3, xbox + gold sub.

EDIT: I completely missed the mention of saorview. If you don't have a tuner, it'll be difficult to solve all 3 with one device unless you put a PC together with a tuner included.

    What about this: http://www.energysistem.com/en/products/android_tv

I was told about these recently, though yet to get my hands on one to test.

    Some interesting stuff.

I have a Sony SMPN100B USB Media Player with Built-in Wi-Fi. Bought it a couple of years ago.

From what I've read it has net flix but not out of the box. I cant seem to get it to work

Has anyone seen these, or have an opinion on them? It has a DVB-T tuner built in, does that mean I can plug an aerial straight into it and get Saorview? Are there any other similar devices? Thanks
