    Hi guys
My Powermax alarm went off yesterday without any good reason while I was away. The hallway sensor appears have been the offending zone.None of designated sms telephone contacts received a text?In addition ever since,in spite of arming/disarming the system I am unable to clear the blinking Ready Memory message on the control panel.Any suggestions? Is the hallway sensor faulty?

I wouldn't consider a device faulty based on a single activation.
See how it goes over the next few days.
To clear the memory prompt press the log button, enter your code and scroll through the full list of events.
Then arm and disarm the system to check.

To clear the alarm memory you need to clear the fault first.
Try down powering the detector and powering it back up.
Then listen to all alarm activation's, arm the system away then disarm.
Have you credit on the sim that was installed?
Is the sim still active, most will be turned off after 5-6 months if not topped up.

    Hi Guys
I have a what I believe are called a dual tech PIR in the garage. I have had two false alarms during the night this week whilst on partguard resulting in woken babies etc.

Any ideas what may be causing it. Could it be a rat, small bird or some fault?

    Thanks

Or it could be the unit itself that's faulty.
Make sure all around the lens is clean and dust free etc.
If its a duel tec PiR there should be a pot on the pcb.
Use that to adjust the sensitivity down and see if that helps.

Its worth a try before changing the unit.
Has anything in its environment changed.?
A different door or anything major moved? Anything reflective ?

Hi KK, just edited my post above before I saw your rapid reply!
No nothing changed that I can think of. Going out now to see if sensitivy can be lowered further without impacting range etc

    Micro currently set to 100%
Dip switch option to adjust pulse count sensitivity from high to low
Also see that alarm cable entry point at rear is not sealed. Could an insect get in and set off a dual Tec?

Try microwave at 75. I would also seal up the cable entry.
