Ryanair are getting in more because if they divert they have to sort their own digs for the night!

Note how Ryanair Ops are so much less pleasant too!

Yeah your one sounded like a Cnut , didnt she?

    Right, air crash investigation time!

It's been a fantastic day of flying here. Be sure to tune back in tonight on BBC2 for Flight of the Night featuring highlights from all the big flights throughout today.

    Good night, and god bless!

(ps this better all be sorted before next saturday. the missus is flying in from germany)

oh and actually, this is the time to ask. I was thinking of going up to dublin a little early and parking up for the a while. is it usually busy up there? anyone planning on being there themselves?

any tips at all id appreciate it! Been a pleasure peeps. night!

For someone who has been sad enough to be watching this all evening and still has to get up in the morning,
    Stats are
Aer Lingus 1 (first in), followed shortly by Ryanair, then one Ryanair later on...

What a riveting evening. Its still gusty as hell here in North Dublin. Glad to hear most are down in their diverted airports.

It is going to be one hell of an operation to get everything sorted for later today Thursday. Expect many delays and cancellations.

This has definitely been the best thread in A & A.

God help the crews and passengers up there tonight. I was a passenger landing on 34 with gusts of 40 knots and that was very very bad, so id say there are a few sick people tonight on those 4 FRs that got down!

ok, turning off the stream shortly, what time in the morning do landings restart? If this wind keeps up I should be ready to restart it.

Surely a night that will live in Irish aviation infamy. I can picture the scenes in schools up and down the country tomorrow. All the kids in their Aer Lingus or Ryanair Jerseys. Probably one kid with a BA jersey just to be different. All out at lunch time practicing their landings with simulated wind sheer.
