am not am expert but am a regular flyer.

If you plane is due in from dublin it seems unlikely.
if its a birmingham based plane ,possibly.

i dont know if there are after midnight curfews in birmingham

your plane is needed somewherein the morning, as the hours pass it becomes unlikely.

Are they telling you anything much

    Rugbyman

they have told us nothing so far, just keep updating the flight displays, still don't even know what gate to be at!

there is no ryanair plane on the ground here, so i presume it is still sitting on the tarmac at dublin

will ryanair feed me if the hours pass? just i have no sterling left!

don't mean to hijack the thread, sorry!

The past few nights I've been kept awake by various news stories.

Tonight I have a feeling I will be kept awake watching airplanes!

Hey all, looking at the Planefinder map and wondering why Brussels to Carcassone is currently coming up the Irish Sea coast?!

    I presume it's an error?!

    http://planefinder.net/flight/FR8023

That aircraft is currently operating FR9998 from Palma to Dublin- some sort of website error I guess. Flightradar24 is much better.

    FR9429 coming in after too.

I was on the 17.45 Aer Lingus/ Aer Arann flight from Bristol to Dublin, twas not pleasant. Quite bumpy, vomited on the flight along with many others! Coming in to land and the pilot pulled up, he said it was too unstable. He said he'd try again, but that we may have to divert to Belfast. Thankfully landed in Dublin, looks like we were lucky considering the amount of diversions.

    Dinners on the table

All I wanted was the answer given below. No need for remarks like that.
My guess is they said they'd try it before diverting, tried it and were within limits or just on the edge. They wouldn't have made an illegal or dangerous approach.

Cheers for that! Caused a moment of confusion.

Pilot says quite bumpy below 1,200'. Got a PWS warning but no Windshear, and also wind varying +-15knots.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but getting a windshear warning is supposed to result in an automatic Go Around no?

Is FR293 going to Belfast? Must have burnt a lot of juice judging by the route taken

Looks like 1GC has made it in as well.

It's getting a bit like Die Hard 2

    FR1GC on the ground!
Using Flightradar24 the plane disappears when it gets to about 1400 feet. Where can you see it landing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 726 ✭✭✭Shamrock231

    FR9429 making an approach.

ATC allowing Ryanair to advise it's other company aircraft on conditions.

It's looks like the pilots are becoming a bit braver

Ive got anywhere between 10 and 30 listeners at any one time on my streaning scanner, can anyone give me freq to stick to rather than just scanning the airband, we could be listening to manchester at times for all I know!!

It's definitely a night we need the ATC feed up! I can just about get a signal on the handheld receiver and it sounds like there are loads holding and severe windshear on finals

2 landed in Cork in the last 10 mins. Looked like a rough landing.

A maintenance vehicle wanted to head out onto the field, was told he'd have to wait 2 hours due to possible distractions from his lights when pilots have other things to worry about...
