Arranging a hen in Kilkenny and wondering if Matt The Miller is a good choice for our dinner? Or has anyone better recommendations, not a too flashy menu required.

If you can downstairs in Matts for yourselves later in the day, that would be a good move, as you'd still be in a very lively pub but with your own space. The owner doesn't do things by halves (he's a few businesses) so I'd imagine it would be good and as it's a pub on the stag and hen trail they'd be used to dealing with your needs.

We're going on a hen there in a few weeks. We're having dinner in a steak restaurant, can't remember the name but someone on here will know. Seemingly it's very popular for large groups and has a good, cheap set menu. Then we're heading on to Matt the Millers. We have a reserved area and one free drink for about €5 per person plus a glass of bubbly.

Dreading the whole weekend to be honest !

And btw, any hen party struggling to find accomodation, is more than welcome to stay at mine! Havoc looks after the stags.
