Homeplug to router?

I've been using a homeplug in my living room for about 6 months to connect a laptop I was using as a htpc. Over the weekend I connected up a freesat box to the homeplug, so the laptop is gone back to wireless.

However, I want to go the full htpc/nas/streaming route, and think a wired solution would be better than wireless, but what can I do with only 1 homeplug? Is it possible to plug the ethernet cable coming out of the homeplug into another router and then have 2 further cables coming out of the router? Or is there some sort of splitter you can get?
