Hey,I'm very new to Triathlons and am looking to buy my first wetsuit. I've been looking online and am so confused with sizes and everything. I've been looking at the Orca TRN simply because its cheap and cheerful! Can anyone shed any light on if this one is suitable for a complete novice!? my other problem is the sizes i dont seem to be fitting into any of the categories.
I'm 5'1" tall, weigh 72kgs and chest 95 cm so for my weight i should get the large but thats for someone that 6' tall! Can anyone tell if if i'd be tripping over it if i buy that one!? any help would be much appreciated!! :)

Its very difficult to buy a wetsuit online - its one where i think its important to get properly fitted in a bricks and mortar shop. If it doesn't fit right you will be at a disadvantage

KimyK, the TRN is not a beginners suit. Yes, it is cheap, but it is not what you think it is.

Orca designed it to create drag rather than eliminate drag and with a chlorine resistant neoprene it is designed for use in the pool and / or open water training.

There are a multitude of entry level wetsuits, some better than others, and others far worse than what you'd expect.

Anticipate a budget of €180-€220 covering you for a good entry wetsuit which you won't need to upgrade for a season or two anyway. As CW advises, you really need help with selecting and fitting your first wetsuit, size guides are generally good, but an experienced fitter will explain how to put it on properly and get the right suit for you, you'll be surprised by how tight they are.
