Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No match thread yet?

Anyway, big news is that Bale starts. Aguero on the bench, Silva still out.

Spurs team to play Man City: Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Assou-Ekotto; Dembele, Parker; Dempsey, Bale, Sigurdsson; Adebayor

Manchester City team to play Tottenham: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Clichy, Yaya Toure, Barry, Milner, Tevez, Nasri, Dzeko

Another game in Zab's pocket for Bale hopefully.

    A draw would be acceptable.

Hoping Spurs do the business for obvious reasons :)

One from Vertonghen, Yaya or Zabaleta to be awarded MOTM is all I want.

Did the ref give a free for that?!

Spurs bottling this chance to get CL football big style.

Would Walker not have been better off sticking close to Nasri there ? Suppose Dempsey didn't get back to help .

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

That's a really top notch goal by City

    Nasri should be off.

Giroud got sent off for something similar yesterday...should have been a red for Nasri

Tevez was outstanding with the ball and then the pass in to Milner.

Parker should have read that far better.

Great finish from Nasri it has to be said, not an easy ball to take first time.

Assou-Ekotto more to blame, just stopped running with Milner.

Top quality from Tevez, Milner and Nasri.

Perhaps not the best defending but difficult to defend against that quality. Really well crafted and executed

And there's a contender for stupiest yellow card of the season

    Ref or player's behalf?
I rate every "taking your top off or celebrating in the crowd" yellow to be much stupider

Haha this is like a tag team of City and Arsenal (and chelsea?) fans against Spurs and United :pac:

I've been looking at some of City's movement off the ball, I must say it's very good.

Manchester City are yet to lose in the Premier League this season when they have taken the lead, winning 20 of 22 games so far.

    From Opta.

Lingered on the ball too long Walker.

not at all surprised that the Spurs Champions League challenged has crumpled yet again.

The difference Zabaleta makes at right back is amazing, especially in an attacking sense. Having watched Richards midweek and in general there's no comparison between the two, as much as I like Micah.

Our Player of the Year award is the least he deserves, class act.

    ''City - Manchester City
We are the lads who are playing to win
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in

Football is the game that we all live for
Saturday is the day we play the game
    Everybody have to pull together
    And together we will stand
Even if we're playing down at Maine Road
Or if we play a million miles away
There will always be a loyal fan behind us
To cheer us on our way

    City - Manchester City
We are the lads who are playing to win
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in

Blue and white we play together
We will carry on forever more

    Maybe in another generation
When other lads have come to take our place
They'll carry on the glory of the City
    Keeping City in the place

    City - Manchester City
We are the lads who are playing to win
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in
City - the Boys in Blue will never give in''

Spurs have no idea what to do in the area just outside the box

I think we dodged a bullet when it came to Sigurdsson, he doesn't look anywhere near top 4.
