Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Fangs for the memories.

Don't see why Suarez should get more of a ban than, for example, Steve Sidwell or anyone who makes a tackle that could injure someone.

Because a bite is not the same as a tackle.

Comparing biting to tackling, ffs, unbelievable!!!!

Yea,maybe but for me it is more stupid and an impulsive moment of madness. It happens to some players in sports, it's not like he will be off to the supermarket tomorrow looking for people to bite. No defending it but people shouldn't overreact to it, if we were not in such media driven Times it be forgotten about very quickly.
Sadly a lot of people will use this to get digs in a Liverpool which is just sad, Suarez doesn't seem like a bad lad, he just does stupid things on the field sometimes.

No digs at Liverpool as a whole, obviously. Just Suarez, there's been a heap of hot-headed players over the years, most managed to refrain from eating the opposition.

On a serious note. I feel next to nothing watching this team. Suarez is off to Bayern imo.

Isn't it obvious? tackles are an ACTUAL part of football. Biting is not. Sidwell's challenge was bad, but he never intended to hurt anyone. He could have, but his intent was to win the ball. Suarez' intent was to bite somebody.

    It speaks for itself.

If you give someone a bit of a kick or a slap it's a red card and probably a 3 game ban.

Don't really see the difference other than the novelty of the way he hit him.

If he did bite him, Liverpool should really consider whether he should be moved on in the summer.

I dont get the 'watch the ****storm' type posts. Nobody is expected to defend that but there will rightly be a ****storm - its a disgusting act and no look at the players at your own club should deflect from that. Awesome player but he does some ridiculous things

    Well said.

I hope he scores though I have him in my FF team and would be good to see Spurs fighting for second!

Shelvey just has the wrong temperment for this level.

Rash tackles when he comes on and then panics in front of goal. Not the first time he's done either.

In his last 500 Premier League minutes, Luis Suarez has bitten more players than he has scored goals.

I remember Defoe bit Mascherano in a Spurs - West Ham game a fair while ago. The incident happened directly in front of the referee yet he only got a yellow for it. Afterwards, pretty much every commentator swept it under the carpet by saying stuff like "ah it was only a nibble".
Watch the exact same "pundits" trip over themselves to say how disgraceful this incident is (which it is, to be fair).

Twill be interesting to see what Rodgers has to say about it. He'll most likely go with the auld "didn't see it" approach. Probably best option too really...

Chances they give Ivanovic MOTM just to get the controversial bite interview?
