Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The hilarious thing is those very fans from other teams who berate him would absolutely love to have him.

Not me personally, cos we have 2 better strikers, I can see the appeal of having Suarez though!!

Its still raising his arm, not defending Suarez but if it was a bad tackle instead of a bite and i got up and raised my hands afterwards its a red.

But it wasnt. Its a bite, its not comparable to a bad tackle.

Pity it was in the 97th minute but it still looks good at 96:30!

    Well played luis

Couldn't have been a better Sunday. Title wrapped up, Chelsea top 4 chances damaged, and a brand new Suarez controversy

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,347 ✭✭✭Quandary

That result is just delicious. The drama will be so worth it :D

I wonder will Suarez definitely get a ban for it?

Great finish to the game, delighted with that.

Performance was quite poor overall though

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,752 ✭✭✭markesmith

No doubt he's a great player, but the biting is just another incident. Too high-maintenance and not fit to wear the Liverpool shirt with that behaviour

    Should United have sold Cantona?

Whatever about Suarez, carragher should have been off for just been a wan*er all game.

    Gutted

I agree but ill take that goal anyday :)

That's stomach turningly bad officiating. 6 minutes added time and he plays another 30 seconds? Suarez, who should have been sent off twice, supplied by Sturridge who should have been sent off (if you agree with consistency with Giroud's red card yesterday). A ridiculously poor refereeing performance has robbed Chelsea (again!). I'm far too disgusted to talk anymore about it.

Full credit to the team, certainly the better team on the day. Eden Hazard was sublime, the best player on the pitch by a mile and, IMO, the most talented player in the league.

Unfortunately he'll have to, won't he? It's not like he didn't know it was an offence, he was in the middle of his ban for biting the last time, when Liverpool bought him..

Could very well be his last game in a Liverpool shirt after that.

Would not be surprised to see an 8 game ban, and if somebody offers 40m in the summer, pressure may be on from Henry and co to accept.

Just pointing out double standards my good man.

Ill agree with you, there are double standards everywhere... I said the same about joey Barton last season. He got 12 games for kneeing a player in the bum, and starting a fight with another 2 players, and lost the head.
Will Luis get 12? No way. 8 games at most.

In fairness to most liverpool fans, they have said it out straight in this thread, but one poster actually said, a tackle is worse than a bite. Madness.

The referee spoke to both of them so surely that means that he dealt with the incident?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,825 ✭✭✭Mikeyt086

Such a primitive thing to do I just don't know what goes through his head. Watching the replay of it there Ivanovic reacts like a Zombie has attacked him.

Haha. First of all, stop defending the bite.

99% of the time, when a leg is broken in a tackle, it is an accident. But biting someone is madness. Scumy, very scumy. He is a nutter.

There's only so many times people can say moment of madness. This is very typical of his character and history.

Souness talking out his arse. He seems to forget just how nasty he was on the pitch himself.
