No you ask for opinions, all opinions are that no one has ever so much as seen a signed CV, you insist signing it is the correct thing to do.

What do you when you send your CV electronically? Do you follow the requirements of the European Directive for electronic signatures?

Where did i say i "Insist" on signing it, is the correct thing to do? - all i implied was that it was what i was "thought" to do from early on in my career, again, if someone says that signing CVs isn't the done thing, fair enough, that's there opinion.

If i send on an electronic CV, i date it, and put my name at the end.

Do you mean that someone taught you to do it? Or you thought it up by yourself?

Sorry I thought it was something he came up with independently.

Clearly i am using spellcheck too much :P - I meant i was taught from early on in my career, by various career guidance lecturers etc. it was some years ago, though.

i dont recall "so many people telling me" again, i think this all comes down to a matter of opinion in this case.

Lots of things are a matter of opinion if you choose them to be. This isn't really one of them. You certainly have been told by a number of people now.

I find this thread quite interesting given that the OP has stated in other threads he is about 20 years old and in college!

It's worse than that he has all his a lot of information on his profile.

OP you really should disconnect your identity on here from your real life. Some companies do searches and you don't really want them reading posts like this. You don't have 4 pages of information for a CV for sure.
