Musicians wanted - alt/indie - Dublin

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to find musicians of all descriptions, from pianists to singers, guitarists to drummers and everything in between, to collaborate on some songwriting ideas and maybe even start gigging.

I'm 22, based in Finglas and have been playing the guitar for 10 years, and writing my own music in a serious sense for the last 2 or 3.

Influences range from Beach House, Menomena, Smiths, Frightened Rabbit, Bon Iver, The National, Modest Mouse, Real Estate, Sigur Ros and Minus the Bear in terms of bands to Elliott Smith, Fionn Regan, Villagers/Conor O'Brien, Bright Eyes, Perfume Genius, The Tallest Man on Earth, James Vincent McMorrow and Laura Marling in terms of singers/songwriters.

I guess the idea would be similar to what Conor O'Brien has done with Villagers, ie taking well crafted songs and fleshing them out into band format.

Hey Eoin it's Ross thanks for the reply, I'm mostly influenced by Indie and that's the sound I'm going for... I'm influenced by Joy Division, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths, The Maccabees, Kasabian,etc...

So are you looking to start something from scratch and work on writing new songs, or do you have something already in place and just want someone to join up?
