Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Don't think so. The missus wants to watch it at home cuz she's broke, and we all know who wears the trousers in that relationship...

You could have bought tickets and given them to her as a (early) valentines gift.

Funny story, but when she asked about booking a table for valentines night on Friday I realized it clashed with the Leinster game... so ofcourse I told her we couldn't go to dinner because I had already bought her tickets for valentines.

In spirit yes :) Physically no :(

You'll be one lucky man if Ireland win a 3rd GS in front of your eyes, here's hoping anyway!

I can't think of a witty reply, awec, so I'll leave it open to any takers on the forum to supply one for me...

In the spirit of "what goes on on tour, stays on tour", I won't name and shame the guilty party. But I have seen one too many John Hayes' pyjamas striptease.

Gonna be in town for the Italy game on Saturday if anyone fancies it. Anyone been to Sams yet? Is it worth a look for the game?

Booked a table in Harry's under Stephens Green shopping centre after the Italy game. Got decent seats in front of a very decent big screen on Saturday. Turned out to be a good place to watch the game strangely. Didn't think of it until we arrived in to town and found it busier than expected. After the few jars we figured we may as well book it for Super Saturday. I can pop in and book another table if there's interest. Right beside the bar, right in front of the telly and the foods not bad either.

Which one is Harrys? Did it used to be an Oz themed bar a few years back?

That's the one. It's kind of a trendy cocktail type bar now, hence it never crossed my mind. But turns out it's actually a good spot for the game.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Harrys is a decent spot. Might be up for this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

So Harry's then? What time are we thinking?

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Well I'll be in there from roughly around 12:30 onwards. If something is worth doing it's worth doing right. :pac:

I don't get hangovers. Unless I drink cider. Or Heineken.

Note to self, don't drink cider. Or Heineken.

True I'm the same. I can knock back most beers for hours on end with little problem but Heineken just cripples me the morning after for some reason. Although Dutch Heineken doesn't seem to bother me, must be the water in Cork :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,767 ✭✭✭✭molloyjh

Indeed ak, you have it in one. I'd even consider drinking Harp over it!

So we have Swiwi, P_1 and maybe awec. Anyone else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

I will make it to one in future! I was considering coming home this weekend but I'm going to the Milennium Stadium of all places to watch the games.

Maybe the European final weekend will present a good opportunity?

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Pretty sure I'll be going to Cardiff on the European final weekend. ;)

Hoping to be in Cardiff myself on finals weekend too. All depends on what happens at the homeport of the Force d'action navale on the 6th of April mind

Plan your drinking beforehand! Decent watering holes in Cardiff city centre are few and far between. Apparently there're plenty if you're willing to venture a little away from the stadium, but you really need to know where you're going.
