Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You can bet your bippy that Ronaldo would be more involved in this game tonight than Messi has been. Yeah, I'm calling it. Come at me

Weird that he only announced his retirement when Guardiola was announced. If they wanted him there he'd be there

No, just retiring. He isn't being pushed. They wanted to talk about a new contract at the end of last season AFAIK but he wasn't interested in extending.

Müller off, Pizarro on. I hate how strong this team is.

Begrudging them so much that they are referred to as cheaters is sensational.

You think its sensational that people think of Barcelona as cheaters?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,986 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Tie over, Bayern through to the final and I honestly can't see them losing that either.

They are cheaters. Always have been. You know this too.

Another horrendous night for the 5th officials

Aye. Either they have no authority and aren't listened to, or they literally find them on the street.

Football needs a challenge systems similar to NFL/Tennis IMO, one that can actually be incorporated with the introduction of HawkEye next season.

3 per game, make a mistake and you lose a challenge. Can imagine a lot being against it however and say that soccer is not stop start like the other sports.
Personally, I think it could be incorporated to work.

As a previous post said it was leave or be pushed

Guardiola is a sought after manager. Bayern are a football club but also a business, they needed to make an investment in the top manager while he was available.

Waaaaaaaay too late for barca changes

I think its ridiculous unless you want to call all the big teams cheaters.

Barca's last defeat by four or more (I believe?) was in 2007.

Wow, even at three nil down you would give them a chance, its going to take one hell of a turn around now

Some very "conservative" defending for that last goal...

How did Arsenal beat this team at the Allianz? Barcas defense is shocking, need to invest during the summer.

I dont want to pin the entire blame on just one person, but this match really is showing the naivety of Villanova as a manager. Subs should have happened after the 2nd goal. All of this is a lesson though.

Very impressive win for Bayern. Barca's defence has been unconscionably poor tonight. Absolutely desperate for Müller's second.

Can see them scoring in Camp Neu as well, so can't see Barcelona scoring 6 in the next 100 mins....

Even bigger incentive for Dortmund tomorrow night now, if there wasn't enough already.

You're either happy to see 'cheating' or not, tbh.

It has to go a good long way yet to beat the 4-1 defeat to Madrid in 07/08 in terms of humiliation.

Subs wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference here, imho.

The "negative tiki-taka" has backfired spectacularly.

I'm so using that term in 5-a-side

    I have! Sweet memories...

Jesus, Robben is such a diver.

Barca were called cheaters! There can be no rationalising of that except to source it from some sort of begrudgery, possibly based on their success or their elitist attitude?

EDIT: and working class people are notoriously begrudging.
