As a mature applicant you need to meet the various matriculation requirements for each college, i.e. HPAT, minimum 480 points, and whatever science subjects each college specifies. Then they take your other experience, work, voluntary, etc. into account.

    Check out http://www.qualifax.ie/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=16
And each college will have some detail about their mature entry requirements for medicine.

And afaik yes you do need a language. Here is detail from Trinity http://www.tcd.ie/Admissions/undergraduate/requirements/matriculation/leavingcert/

If you do need another language you may want to look into sitting it next year. One benefit of being a mature applicant is that you don't need to meet the requirements in one sitting of the LC.
