Hi, Ihave a BOI mortgage of 260k and and took out a 5 year loan of 20k last year to cover credit card debt. As my wife has now given up work to mind the kids we are finding the €545 loan repayments a significant drain on the monthly finances. Given that we have never missed a mortgage payment (over 7 yerrs with first mortgage and almost 2 years with currwent mortage) or any loan repayment to date would it be possible to get a mortgage top up to cover this loan and reduce our monthly repayments. At the time of getting the loan we tried to to this but were told no.
