I have recently applied to NCI as a mature student. I hope to study Accounting. I have filled out the application form and done all the necessary paperwork. I have recieved an e-mail from the college asking for a transcrypt of my Leaving Cert results. I was suprised as I thought as a mature student the LC results would not be relevant. Will my exam results affect my chances of getting into the course I want? It's been many years since I done the LC, but I didn't meet the standard of Maths required to study Accountancy (even though I got good grades in Accounting itself). Any help would be great, I hope my LC results from years ago will not destroy my hopes of third-level education.

    Thanks

    Have you asked NCI?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
