Shot gun start for round 3 at 8a.m due to poor forecast for the weekend.

This is making the leaderboard interesting to watch anyway! It must be crazy out there, but if this works, we may see it again at other tournaments. It'll be interesting to see how Sky copes!

Coverage is ok - they seem to be able to track the leaders. Looks like they might get it in before the heavy stuff hits.

So they seem to be going for this shotgun start again today, with the start delayed until 10.00. It seems like a great idea to get the business done, but I suppose it would make the last day a bit less of a spectacle, which may not suit sponsors.

Anyway, the rugby is more important today!

Easy enough win for Sullivan in the end. What a margin!

He played lovely from what I saw of it. As one of the commentators said, that putting stroke will make him a wealthy man but his all round game was excellent.

Sullivan's putter is 30 inches long, must be the shortest on tour

So Poulter has dropped out of the top 50, so had to get an invite to compete in Hong Kong and make his requisite number of events to keep his European card. He only got the invite because Rich Beem, who was already in Hong Kong, handed his back. Lucky man, Ian. No everyone would have done that.

Jaco is VanZyl-ing to victory in this one. Serious shooting.

And it didn't matter in the end as he got in as 6th reserve next week. The HSBC even with the change in criteria is still the weakest of the 4 WGC's. Poor date in the calendar for the top U.S players.

Rory to -10 now. Game coming along nicely with the short stick looking better.

Much tighter at the top of the leaderboard, which is good for us viewers.

And the flat stick ain't looking too bad either.

Sky keep commenting that he has been working on his putting. Certainly looking much better now.

Rory on a bit of a charge after going eagle birdie. Just one back now.

The approach shot for the eagle was one of the best shots I've seen.

It was something else alright.. makes it look so easy with his height.

The chip shot he just played there on 15 was shockingly poor though. Commentator initially said "not bad"... Completely the wrong choice of shot.

The problem wasn't the choice of shot - just the execution of it.

100% disagree. Wrong choice of shot.

Low chip into the upslope before pin and roll out up to hole. Taking a lofted wedge and going the aerial root makes it a much more difficult shot IMO.

Wouldn't agree. A lot of breaks on that upslope - could kick anywhere. The shot he tried to play eliminated that - he just didn't land it far enough forward.

He had a similar one on the 11th I think that ran perfectly hole high.

He's usually excellent with short shots like that.

Both Rory and Aphibarnrat were just short of the green and Aphibarnrat used his putter. Before he played the shot, the commentator said he thought putting from there was a bad idea and this was borne out when he left it well short. Of course, he then went on to drain a long birdie putt while Rory missed from about half the distance.

And Aphibarnrat has birdied the first four. Dubuisson three of the first four

Rory and Van Zyl have only two birdies :pac:

Shane Lowry has got himself into the top ten with -3 after 7.

Great par save for Rory, everyone else is on a birdie fest, hope that's the spark.

Mistakes being made out there. Great leaderboard.

Delighted to see Victor get the win - he has had a quiet season.

Apparently he's had real mental issues about his putting three months ago and decided to enter less tournaments this year. Not sure if this is 100% true but he was having some type of issue.

Still great to see him back, played 17 & 18 wonderfully.
