Best play-off I've seen in a long time. Epic win. What a way to finish the PGA season.

That was f**king brilliant, pity it wasn't done on the first playoff hole.

    He won it outright.

"He's pumped for the Ryder Cup"

F**k off, he's pumped after such a great battle

Ryan Moore is some competitor but he just didn't deserve it after 3 bad drives on 18. He got a lucky drop on the first playoff hole.

The USA have just got a pretty good 12th man. The late pick looks like a good idea now!

Fair play to Ryan Moore, hopefully he gets the ryder cup pick.

There has been a few over the years who haven't! Apparently there is no obligation on the player to give 10% of the 10 million.

Full sure JP will get it though.

No interview with Rory from Sky.

They made comments about having to catch a flight to Minnesota so I would say they just legged it, the whole end of show was very rushed.

Rory stuck around but he probably didn't have a non-refundable seat on a commercial flight to worry about.

Of all the spectacular shots played during the final stages of the playoffs last night, this below from Rory was unbelievable.

JP sensing the imminent danger of hooking a 4-iron under trees and then over water to find a narrow fairway suggests - "Other option is sand wedge"
    Rory - "Don't like it"

And hits this with shades of Tiger all over it.

Before the round, he said he'd be aggressive if he needed to be to win. That shot was pure aggression, absolutely no holding back.

Can't believe that Na went around in under 2 hours that must be a record.

Na had never played 9 holes in that time

So I set the tv to record the last hour last night, just around the 15 hole mark, and went to bed.. woke up the next day to discover Rory had won.. ran downstairs like a child on Christmas morning to watch the highlights... on the first play off hole as Ryan Moore was setting up for his birdie putt the recording stopped. Not to worry, sky will put on a 2 hour highlight package on Monday, so I'll be sorted..

But nothing.. its wall to wall old Ryder cup highlights.. not a mention of highlights for the tour finale event.

What gives? or did they show highlights but not update the programming schedule?

    Thanks..

They were showing it on SS5 while the Ryder Cup stuff was on SS4.

I'd say Na played one hole and went, "sod this, just put me down for a 70" and walked off. He played the 8th like me.. pin high in 2... 3,4,5,6,7.. in the hole.. wahoo!!

European players may soon have to play an extra event in the US as per the PGA Tour's new regulations. Also.. more Asian events. Great.

I wonder will we see more players follow Paul Casey's lead?

The PGA Tour have added a new team event to next years schedule. Apparently it is the first official team event on the tour since 1981 and will count for FedEx Cup points and as an official win.

Foursomes on Thursday and Saturday, Fourball on Friday and Sunday. Day & Fowler, Rose & Stenson are 2 early pairings to commit

Is there not something about one playing partner has to be outside the world top 80?

The top 80 in the pga rankings get to pick their partner but if anybody picks a high ranked partner then number 81 gets into the field and so on.

I laughed out loud at that one

I wonder what he calls his putter anyway? After all his 3 iron is not a 3 iron, it's Azalea I think, and his wedge or something is called tin cup.

the guy is a fruit loop

Maybe not the correct thread for this but the R&A and USGA are introducing a new local rule that covers accidentally causing your ball to move on the putting green. It's still only optional for clubs to use but I would imagine most will use it. It will also be used in most professional events.

A logical and sensible introduction and not before its time.

Possibly worth its own thread for discussion ? Or nothing to discuss and just a bit of common sense being applied.........?
