Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Still think Phil will catch him. Drive in the par 5 is key though.

Unlucky with the lie on fairway

Phil was unlucky with that stance and upslope right in front of his ball.

For once Hatton had something to complain about on the green although the 2nd shot was to blame.

super win for phil. deserved winner.

He's something else. He's lost nothing of note in his game, still has distance, touch, etc. And bottle.

Sky have half price sky sports for 6 months. I done it last year and cancelled once it went back up. Got it again this year.

Gets you all the majors for €5 a week.

Glad Phil wine, he was getting closer and closer si great to see the form didnt just fade away.

Delighted to see Phil finally break that long streak without a win.

Some interesting things happening with only a few weeks to the Masters, Phil back in the winners circle and putting better than ever and Bubba winning at Riviera which he has done twice before and went on to win the Masters both times.

He didn’t win at Riviera in 2012

I hope the dress code police are not watching the featured group coverage.

Tony Finau is wearing a hoodie. It's actually hillarious. Commentators latest line was "Hold on to your hoodie" after a big drive.

Though maybe this belongs in the golf ball too far thread :)

Trish Johnson on the Sky Sports coverage saying she never knew you could get clubs custom fit until she changed clubs in the off-season...WTF :confused:

All the officials must have been out with other groups.... no wait :D

Good to see a very knowledgeable referee who was clear and succinct.

Paul “the bottler” Casey might actually win a tournament. So much easier when well ahead of the leaders and going out setting a score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,500 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

Surely there's no way Casey doesn't shoot himself in the foot over the last few holes

Jaysus casey might actually win this, no sign of his usual meltdown!

This would be the perfect year for Casey to hold his nerve with the Ryder Cup on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Rose isn't doing much. Reed may be the dark horse. I hope Casey gets up and down and wins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Woods is hanging in there well. It could be one of 4 to win. I think Sergio will fall short.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,378 ✭✭✭HighLine

Tiger not looking near as good today as the first three rounds. There's always next week at the AP.... where he has won 8 times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Am I hearing thinks? Did Casey say he was put off by her big knockers?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,424 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

If Sergio had actually hit that 10 foot eagle putt, he'd be in with a shout

    I hope that's true

Casey stubbed that chip on the last a bit. If he holes then he may win or get into a playoff.

    Well done Paul Casey.

Reed with a very make-able eagle putt coming up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Reed and Casey tied. Reed is probably just about favourite but it could go any of three ways. Maybe a playoff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

I think Woods three putting the par 5 means he is too far back.......maybe not though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭Luckycharms_74

That missed birdie putt on par 5 14th I think has all but cost any chance of getting to a playoff.

He just didn't get anything going today.

Fair play to Casey with that score though

Well the broadcaster will push him as high up the leaderboard as they can. The time honoured system is that players (on the same score) who have played most holes are ranked highest but it seems different protocols apply when its Tiger.

    Its all about ratings folks.

    What a putt.

    Holy ****

Had to chip that first time. Much easier chip than putt

He went walk about on that one weather he thought the defensive line should have been moving out or what but he vacated the middle for whatever reason

    Woods

Reed blows in on 18. His putt came right back to where it started.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

So it's only Woods now who can tie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,500 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

If Tiger holes that there'll be a riot

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Woods is way back. 185 yards uphill into wind. He has to make birdie (or eagle).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,378 ✭✭✭HighLine

Tiger left himself way too far back there on 18. Shame.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,752 ✭✭✭Thepoet85

Have to wonder why he played a two iron off the tee if it was going to leave him so far back.
