Leishman to follow up in the Masters in April.
You heard it here first ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 871 ✭✭✭Remind me

Leishman has hit 2 fairways and is 7 under for the day!!!

Golf is just a daft game altogether. Worst in driving and beat in putting. That famous saying comes to mind

    Big time.

He has been lucky with lies on a couple of the very wild tee shots.

The par saves from 10/12 foot will win it for him.

Wouldnt put it past rahm to get his 3 here. Made this interesting anyway, leishman needed that birdie on the last.

Great effort by Rahm at the end

A lot of pundits on the podcasts I listen to have tipped Rahm to win at least one major this year and to end the year as world number one.

I'm not sure he's at that level yet myself. He's never really contended properly at a major and he's let another chance at a win go today, good finish to the round notwithstanding.

He is definitely at that level, he has top 5 finishes in the Masters and the Open, not sure on the other 2 and has won big events worldwide.

He had a meteoric rise in the world rankings after turning pro and has managed to maintain that.

You could forget he is only a pro 3 years and only 25.

He could also go to 1 in the world next week.

What you don't like that someone has a different opinion to you?

That's not having a different opinion, it's being childish.

Finau's best chance in ages to get a win but he seems to be struggling a bit so far

He needs this win or he will get the name of a choker.

He has already won on the PGA tour and his average round when leading after the third round is decent so he isn't getting the name of a choker. His big problem has always been the short stick. When/if he sorts that out he'll win many events and I'd suspect a couple of majors.

Finau is a strange one, I wouldn't really call him a choker because choker implies that the player bottles it when near the finishing line. I can't remember the last time Finau led a tournament in the closing stages.

Hard to say he bottled this one too as Simpson holed a clutch putt on 18. Hope Finau wins the playoff.

Poor Tony :( Great putts by Webb on 18 though

Finau should at least have 5 wins at this stage.

Such a likeable guy too so hope he gets a big one soon.

    It will get tougher though.

Birdies by Simpson on 17, 18 and then the playoff hole, hard to compete with that. With the exception of his tee-shot on the 17th, Finau didn't really do much wrong. The putts just didn't drop for him. Disappointing, I was rooting for him.

1 win is poor for a man of his talent.

Chase Seiffert is someone I've been keeping an eye on since last year.

He made Web..com last year, finished 15th overall and subsequently got on to the PGA tour.

He's tied 2nd at Pro-AM having not missed a cut for his first 3 starts in 2020. I didn't get on him pre-match but bought a little at 60s.

Only 28, possibly one to watch out for this year

Perhaps he hit the sauce Saturday night having made the cut!

Not Sky's choice TBH. American golf broadcasting is truly awful.
