Cut is very close to going to +3. Very tough out there today. Victor Hovlund is unpacking right now.

And there it is. But still in the squeaky bum zone, so Victor is now looking at his suitcase and wondering should he just go for a drink instead.

No Tiger Woods at Sawgrass next week. Agent tells ESPN back is "just not ready." Blow to the tournament and, surely, Woods's Masters prep

Quite concerning really. He didn’t even look right when he was walking from his car when he arrived at the Genises. Will surely need one or two prep tournaments before Augusta

Ah no. I presume It’s the back again?

So they're saying. Wouldn't be surprised. He still looks like he's hammering it when he strikes the ball hard.

Looks like another tough day out there. Only three of the 40 odd players out under par. One of them is Voctor Hovlund who's -1 after 12. Max Homa is -3 after 14. Everyone else level par or worse.

only 1 player under par out there today could be an interesting day ahead

Brooks struggling for form before the masters

Only 4 players under par today!! Only one finished. Scoring is tough again

Going to predict Leishman wins this tournament from here. In great position, in good form, form around the course and likes playing in wind

I don't remember Bay hill being so difficult.

Kang having a nightmare here at 11, in the water twice

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Absolute carnage really and here is me giving out about Rory’s round so far. He will be annoyed with some aspects of his play but still finds himself in a great position

Did I see Reed carrying his own clubs on 11 there?

Think he was in the water there so caddy was far side seeing if ball had crossed there. Reed waited back so probably took clubs with him to make a choice

It really is looking like only one player out of 59 will shoot under par today. Absolute carnage and it’s not as if it’s blowing a gale.

Also; how is this sung kang lad a pro pga tour player with that swing action. It’s horrific

He has the same swing as Matt Dillon on the driving range in "There's Something about Mary"

That Bedzuidenout fella has a pretty bad stammer, poor guy, can't be easy doing those nonsense post round interviews.

McIlroy likely to drop a shot at the last, ball snuck into the penalty area. +1 for the day wont be a disaster

why was he able to drop that on the green?

  • Registered Users Posts: 406 ✭✭sliabh 1956

unlucky there on the 18th he has every chance to morrow that course is sure playing tough

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,350 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

why was he able to drop that on the green?

Ball bounced just before entering hazard, so 2 club lengths not nearer the hole from point of entry

Used to be a lot worse, good to see him overcoming it.

Really enjoying this, much better than -20 winning.

    ok. thanks.
but it was definitely nearer the hole from from point of entry
s/sports lad pointed where it bounced - "10 paces before the sprinkler head"

It was. But that was because referee decided to do his own thing instead of listen to Radar.

i believe he drank rat poison as a 2 year old and it attacked his nervous system
as young fella he suffered allot from anxiety.
great to see a guy like this reach such heights. he can be a role model to allot of young people.
    true grit.

    my new fav player!
    & great name!

Yes it was all well intended by Sky , but perhaps Referee was right to ignore tv.

Why should any single competitor have advantages / disadvantage because a tv crew. In the case of Rory there is always a tv crew.

Same issue comes up at The Open when tv inform on course reporting of possible location of ball.

This was probably altered when someone rang in after observing a ball move.

Must look up what actual rule is on external advice.
    Hardly is allowed ,
