Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Speith has balls of steel, putts great under pressure.

That was up there with anything from an Up and Down perspective.

such a contrast coming up with 3 in play off.

Jb middle of green will do -

The equivalent of a dive in soccer from speith.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,001 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

Speith - early days for him.

But when it came to crunch - he played 3/4 bad shots when it came to crunch last 2 holes.

Was lucky with drive there anyway.

Think the timings on his shot could be elucidated, ok

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,435 ✭✭✭delaad

Brilliant last round by Holmes. Closing out just about ok.

I doubt it, a hell of a lot of people around the green, any little noise in the backswing would be a big distraction on such an important shot. Feel sorry for him but he has a lot mor in him, has s great chance next week.

Another great tournament and another one that went to a play-off, seems to happen every week lately.

Great playoff, something like that next week would be great, Tiger, Rory and Spieth in a 3 way playoff, here's hoping

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,512 ✭✭✭OffalyMedic

Rory, Speith and Stenson playoff please and I'll be rolling in the money

Been a great start to the year, play off after play off and guys on sponsors exceptions, Monday qualifying, 500-1shots all making names for themselves.
    Roll on the Masters.

There have been quite a few playoffs this year - just shows that there are a lot of good players out there.

I fundementally disagree. Once again we see a PGA tour professional golfer hit his drive in to the crowd and not shout 4. Not him, not his caddy nor playing partner. All the commentators mention is that his ball bounced backwards making his approach longer.
I've added him to my list of "hated" golfers.

If your hated golfers list is based on guys who don't shout fore it'll be a pretty long list.

haha was thinking that.. judging by the answers about slow play I say they are delighted to be paired with Na or Crane..

    Poor auld GMac...

He goes and shoots -5 in very tough conditions at the RBC Heritage to be tied first round leader and he doesn't even get a mention. :)

Previous winner, the wind is up, hopefully he challenges for another 3 days.

Amazing how certain courses just suit a particular golfer's eye.

Fair play to Spieth for turning up and playing. If I won the masters I'd still be drunk right now.

Not doing too shabby as well now, 7 under for his round today, 4 under overall

Thats brilliant stuff. I watched the coverage last night for an hour or so and Spieth didn't look like a man who was going to make the cut this week. Was playing ok but just looked tired. Kuchar looking good as well at the moment.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,512 ✭✭✭OffalyMedic

Spieth, what a man!!! Goes from a round of +3 to -9 in a day!! Fair to say he finished recovering from last week's victory :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,327 ✭✭✭sunbabe08

amazing. he shot a 62 today. a 62 :eek: ahhhh to have the energy of a 21 year old again:P

9 under for Jordan today, superb.

Even more impressive when you consider he lost in a play off just 4 days before the Masters started. How does he have the energy??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,742 ✭✭✭Dr. Bre

hes at it again Spieth! wonder what odds he was this morning!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Some performance from Spieth - Rory watch out!

Assuming he does hold on you'd have to say fair play, an eight under round so far today. Always good to see a guy go out and shoot a really low round to win a tournament. Like Holmes two weeks ago.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,378 ✭✭✭HighLine

Looking like a play-off now. Would like to see Jim actually get the job done.

Jesus... Jim came alive!! Happy for him.. been 5 years since he has won and when you consider how much he has been in contention the last few years, that must have been hard.
