Might as well get this going considering a couple of high profile names already seem to have agreed deals.

Gotze to Munich is a done deal.

Ricky Van Wolfswinkel has agreed a deal with Norwich

Cavani now has apparently agreed a four year deal with PSG according to some sources in the last hour.

Cavani 1 is interesting, would indicate to me that Zlatan is on his way, probably to Juve, if the rumours are right. But if I was him I'd want a crack at winning the Premiership with City or Bundesliga with Bayern. He has won pretty much everything else..

Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Liverpool if Eriksen doesn't happen.

He is great, but Chelsea need to concentrate on strengthening their weaknesses moreso than strengthening even further their strengths.

Zlatan won't be going anywhere near Bayern after his previous comments about Guardiola

Last thing Bayern need is a striker anyway, they'll probably let Pizarro go and sell Gomez this summer.

Jong il-Gwan, former target of Newcastle, PSV and Partizan Belgrade, has been linked with a move to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.

Cracking player, hope he gets a chance :pac:

Fine by me if they turn out to be as successful at Spurs as Sigurdsson and Dempsey.
Thankfully Spurs didn't nip in and get Sturridge and Coutinho in January

Saddens me a little to see top players joining PSG. Winning the league should be a formality for years to come.

Don't knock the dempsey ..vital goals at the right time for us.

I think if we wanted sturridge or coutinho we would have got them.

Zlatan and Cavani could easily work togethter.

Rumors in Italian newspapers today are that Ezequiel Lavezzi is currently in Milan looking at houses and is close to signing a contract with Milan.

If Lavezzi left, Cavani and Ibra would both be in the team.

There is no way in hell PSG are going to sell Ibra, he's the best attacking player at the club by a country mile for the last 15 years at least, and the fans love him.

Liverpool didn't get Sigurdsson because they decided he wasn't worth the wages Spurs were offering.
Dempsey went to Spurs even though his heart seemed set on going to Liverpool as he had burnt his bridges at Fulham.
I guess we'll never definitely know about Coutinho and Sturridge but I sincerely doubt it.

The rumour is that Ibra wants to leave France because of the new tax rate coming in of 75% I believe it is?

If that tax is reality, everyone will want to leave. Any big team would be able to out pay PSG.

Sure didn't AVB give sturridge a run in the team at Chelsea. Think if AVB went knocking sturridge wouldn't have resisted. Where Spurs want to go Sturridge isn't good enough and before you say it.....neither is ADE !!

He played him on the wing which seemed to annoy Sturridge. Sure he's not good enough for where Spurs want to go. Haha

Between those 2, they have that no 9 role covered. If Liverpool are shipping out Downing, and want someone to add to the Suarez/Sturridge/Sterling/Coutinho attacking options, I think they'd be better served going for someone with a more physical presence who can also play football. A plan B as such who also fits into the style of football, unlike Carroll.

I never said he was a striker, but Bayern are even more equipped in Gotze's position which was my point.

Man United have RVP, Hernandez, Rooney and Welbeck so Liverpool could do with another striker in the summer.

IMO Gotze was bought to play the false 9 role at Bayern.

I would hope when we do actually buy a striker he will be a level above Daniel Sturridge, that is for sure.

Man United have more than they need imo. One of Welbeck and Hernandez should go this summer. Welbeck would be my choice if I was a United fan.

So you didn't address my point. Daniel Levy or as you like to call him 'God' tried to address that position with signing Adebayor.
It'll probably be Benteke for Spurs, which would be them striking gold imo. Beast of a player.

They have just won the league so I would say they have exactly what they need up front and is one of the differences between Liverpool and Man United.
They have ample back up in many positions so this idea that Liverpool don't need another striker is an incorrect one IMO

Now? No would have Defoe ahead of him. I know Adebayor is shocking poor this season and hopefully he will be sold in the summer, but I would not choose Daniel Sturridge as his replacement if I had a choice.

Really don't think the fact that they have just won the league is relevant to this particular conversation. They've primarily won the league because of 1 of the 4 players mentioned, with Rooney also making a fairly comprehensive contribution. Hernandez chipped in when needed, but I really don't think Welbeck ever really contributed in a way that swung the league. Pretty sure if it was just Van Persie, Rooney and Hernandez United would still be comfortable champions.

Ferguson has always had at least 4 first team strikers for rotational and injury purposes. Thats not going to suddenly change

Things have changed a bit now though in that Van Persie is almost never rested, and that United frequently only play 1 striker, so the 4th choice striker doesn't really need to be a regular England international. I would expect Ferguson will let Henriquez fill that 4th position soon enough.

True, but its not as if Welbeck and Rooney operate solely as a traditional striker. Also, Welbeck is nearly to valuable to let go due to the homegrown player rules.

Henriquez will cover that too. United could get a very decent fee for Welbeck which they could use to strengthen in positions where they're weaker, and ensure continued success.

Obviously its a bit redundant though, in that Fergie clearly rates Welbeck, whereas I don't.

Cover what? I don't think he's ever played out wide like Rooney or Welbeck and he's not homegrown.

Edit: Thought you meant Hernandez not Henriquez.

Yeah, I meant the homegrown aspect. With Nani, Young and Valencia, I really don't think United actually need any more cover than Rooney. If one of the 3 lads leaves, they should go get someone who actually specialises out wide like Rodriguez. Don't think the wide areas were really United's strongest position this year.

Liverpool will need a good centre half, possibly two. Maybe Williams and Alderweireld if the price is right. Good chance we will sign one of Christian Eriksen or Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Rumor goes that the latter has changed agent to get a move to Anfield. Sincerely hope Luis and Reina stay. Also a good chance all of Carroll/Skrtel/Assaidi/Shelvey/Coates will be sold to raise money.
