sorry ,you didn't but you said they wouldn't be regularly shown on terrestrial TV ,so must be the scouting. How do you think its a chance in scouting strategy ?Teams aren't going to be depending on matches shown on TV to scout players.

Teams are actively pursuing players from throughout Europe where they previously weren't nearly so much. To me this indicates an increase in scouting outside of the bread and butter leagues where English teams usually sign from.

if avb goes to psg i could defo see laudrup at spurs if the rumours of him leaving swansea are true.
    AVB won't be going anywhere.

OK but what has that got to do with TV ?

I think he brought up TV because you said "None of the above play for teams that would be a regular fixture on terrestrial TV so it is the scouting."

To be honest, if most premiership teams didn't know of the majority (and many wouldn't) of those players you mentioned then they are only harming themselves

You could scout those players from your living room they are that well known. The trick is to get young, up and coming players before anybody has the chance to snap them up.

Milan signing the 14 year old Hachim Mastour last summer for €0.5 Million is a prime example. There is no way you could know of a player like this without great scouting, and now they have a very exciting prospect.

Half of the players you listed already play in the top European leagues/are already into their twenties. Scouting a player to see if they are a good fit for your team/worth the transfer fee (this is what most clubs do) is not the same as scouting very young players (under 18) to find future prospects.

With Pulis and O'Neill gone average English players will find opportunities limited.

If PSG come knocking I wouldnt be surprised to see him upsticks to Paris, why wouldnt he?

Infinite money, better squad then he has now, UCL football and favourites to defend the French title.

He has already been employed at a billionaires plaything and look how that went for him. I believe he wont take another risk like that for fear of damaging his reputation once again, after all he is only 35 and can build something at Spurs.

He took a risk taking on such a big job after his Porto success and couldnt handle it, he shouldnt have got fired so quickly either IMO but thats another matter of debate.

His best hope next year for Spurs is a domestic cup and a top 4 finish, at PSG they'll probably win Ligue 1 and be in a very good position in the domestic cups and they should reach the last 16 of the UCL with the squad they have, they possibility to build with the resources at PSG are a lot brighter then they are at Spurs and the majority of other European clubs actually.

All depends on what happens Ancelotti though, losing him and replacing him with either Mancini or AVB, would be a step down for PSG but they should still sweep all before in France even with Monacos increased spedning and throwing truck loads of cash at players.

Dieumerci Mbokani of Anderlecht looking likely to choose the leafy communes of Kiev over the stoic facades of dreary West Bromwich (money may also be a factor here). Shame for them, he would've likely been a reasonable replacement for Lukaku.

Yeah I still remember the games when he played Liverpool for Liege, probably 5 or 6 years ago. He absolutely destroyed Carrgher that night.

Wouldn't mind seeing him in the Premier League, a big strong guy with a bit of pace.

What is happening to De Bruyne? Nuri posted last week saying it coulld have a domino effect and De Bruyne could complete it by joining Dortmund, or is Mourinho keeping him?

Jose wants to look at the squad before deciding who to loan out.

i'd be surprised if he left KDB go on loan but I can understand in a WC year he'll want to play as much as he can to get in the squad and possibily the starting XI.

Jose on Lukaku and KDB :
"I can say that [De Bruyne and Lukaku] are the profile of player that Chelsea invested a lot in the past, and I think it's my work and my contribution to extract the best out of that investment, and I think both of them are ready to come and are ready to be part of our squad."

Been rumours that Eriksen to Dortmund could be sorted after the international games and the holiday he'll be taking no doubt, same has been said of Bernard after the Confederations Cup too though. If we signed one if not both (can't see us signing both!). De Bruyne I highly doubt Dortmund will be signing.

Also read Atlético Mineiro are holding out for €16-18M when originally it was being said they'd accept €14M.

Bernard looks great I hope he goes to Spurs I thought Erickson was already wrapped up though and I figure it's one or the other for Dortmund?

They want both, according to Bild a few weeks ago anyway.

I wouldn't pay more than €15m for Bernard.

I don't see why you'd jump to this conclusion. Doubt he'd be upset by causing a frezy of Madrid supporters, can only strengthen his position.

I dunno, it's his official account, and if you were going to hack it, wouldn't you write something more fun, like "I'm a big bender!!", or something similarly mature?

well id say if it wasnt hacked, then he is referring to something like him being made to look greedy and demanding crazy money. he has just worded it badly and has opened a can of worms.

I think if I had hacked into Ronaldo's twitter I'd be a lot more interested in trying to get into his email account than tweeting fake news about his contract negotiations.

Apparently that includes a player. They are trying to get it done while Real and PSG are still officially manager-less...

Unless its Ramires or someone they want I highly doubt Napoli will bite they want €63m and De Laurentiis has promised to invest all of it into the squad. I`d love to see them bring Lavezzi back or Alejandro Gomez who is like a stumpier version of El Pocho

Flew into Milan and went straight to meet Galliani.

    Interesting.

To be fair, if you look at him as a LB a few years ago, who would have suspected he'd be one of the best goalscorers and free kick specialists in the league, and top 5 most sought players in Europe (along with Cavani, Suarez, Jovetic and Ronaldo IMO)

Bale nearly signed for Birmingham in January 2010 for 3.5 million. Only an injury crisis at Spurs stopped the move, Harry was well prepared to get rid of him.

I'm shocked at the thought of Jamie asking Keys and Gray to find a new club for him.

Chelsea signing Cavani, Shurrle and a DM could make them unstoppable next season.

A front four of Hazard, Mata, Shurrle and Cavani is fantasy football-esque.

I'd rather Shurrle and Hazard on the wing and Mata in centre with Oscar maybe taking up the position Lampard normally does as the centre midfielder who gets forward. It's a matter of making a team out of that pool of talent, others would have it differently.
