Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I dont know mate, I'd say it will be easier to ship him then Ba but for that reason I hope we keep Lukaku, hes a better option then Ba but in a WC year he may want out.

Lukaku REALLY needs to be playing to go to the world cup as a starter, particularly with Benteke scoring for the craic

    Alderweireld to Atletico Madrid.

is that actually happening or just linked to like he has been everyone under the sun including at least 3 Prem teams off the top of my head (Norwich, Liverpool & Spurs)

An 8month knee injury in his first year at Madrid ruined him. By the time he was fit again Ozil had burst onto the scene. He was fighting for his position, and with the frequent injuries and Ozil being the younger better player now. Kaka lost his place. It's a shame.

Think i remember hearing of Madrid trying to sue Milan in the following years for selling Kaká and not disclosing he had an injured knee. Milan maintained he was fine when he was sold and it should have been picked up during their medical if there was any issue. It was later dropped so I presume it was Madrid clutching at straws

EDIT: Could be on his way back to Milan if rumours are to be believed

It was obvious he was fairly crocked going there, he was kinda revenge for Redondo who was fûcked when he arrived at Milan.
Even on a free I don't want him he's not worth the €5m in wages & we have more than enough players who are slow.

He would be a vast improvement on our midfield..

5 million would be hefty wages but sure how many wages are we overpaying right now?

Kaka I would be glad of him

Not positive on this but I did read earlier that Brazil is out of the question as the window there is closed?

Anzhi's chairman has proper just given up on them, I thought the likes of Willian and Eto' would leave but literally everyone has left. Traore, Jucilei and the Uzbek centre mid seem to be the only signings from the takeover that are left, and I expect all 3 of them to leave by the deadline.
In the space of a month that club has changed entirely.

The Christopher Samba signing is one of the most insane things ever. Sold for 5 million, like 2 months after they bought him back for 12.

    Loan to Milan PLEASE.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,300 ✭✭✭✭Seaneh

I'd imagine he will probably try go on loan somewhere until janurary and then go to Brazil when their window re-opens in the hope of working his way into the world cup squad.

It looks like Dinamo Moscow picked up half a new team from Anzhi!

It's mental to see a team decimated like that on the whim of the owner.

Is he on €10m at the minute? Reports indicated he's willing to take a 50% pay cut.

I guess not everything necessarily shows up in the medicals. Long term issues that could be a problem down the line would be difficult to find unless they were disclosed.

He'll do well with Schalke. Was a fan favourite in his first season at Milan but couldn't push on from there. That, and being rotated around several positions didn't help. Happy to get that money for him which has been spent on Alessandro Matri of Juventus as a backup striker until Pazzini is fit.

Expensive 3rd choice for a team with no money.

Its going be funny as Lamela style wise (for me) is a carbon copy of Bale.
It will be like Bale is not gone, but he is not quite there yet talent wise, but has everything in the locker to be.

    jealous big time.

I think he's a better dribbler than Bale to be honest. Bit behind in some other areas though.

Thats a bit premature to be saying , how will all these new players gel . If it takes them a couple of matches it could mess up the season for spurs .

Ki Sung-Yueng joining Sunderland on a one year loan deal from Swansea, which should be confirmed over the weekend.

Sessegnon off to the desert for £5m, although an English side has reportedly made an offer too.

That's yet to be seen. So far it's been a busy one, but the same could be said for QPR last year. Sure the players Spurs bought are of a better quality, but there is no way of knowing how they will settle in.
