    Any idea when this is going to be fixed (or is this part of scheduled work ? - if its uncongested bb I won't complain too much !) - anyways phone and broadband in the whole area including the village multiple local schools etc. has been down since yesterday?

    PMed you there - bit of a disaster really for the hundreds of lines affected - while they are fixing this - they might upgrade the exchange at least.
