Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

iPhone 5 won't turn on.

    Hey guys,

My iPhone 5 turned itself off earlier today and hasn't came back on since. The battery was at 70% so it's not the issue. I've tried resetting it with the home and power buttons held down but nothing happens. I tried plugging it into iTunes but it doesn't even register with it. I even left it plugged in on charge for a few hours and nothing, just a black screen. It won't respond to anything.

I know I could get in contact with apple about getting it replaced but it's jailbroken so they probably won't want anything to do with it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers.

Your only option is to put the device into DFU mode and restore and setup as a new device in iTunes.
To do this plug it in to the computer, have iTunes open hold both power and home buttons for 8 seconds then release the power button while continuing to hold the home button until you see iTunes recognises it and tells you it has found a device in DFU mode and requires a restore.
You will lose everything including the jailbreak.

I am confident this will fix your issue, unless it was damaged in a fall etc.

The only way they'll know if it's jailbroken is if they can boot it, so that can only work out well. Have you tried DFU mode?

Cheers for the help. Got it into DFU mode and got it back working again. Think I'm going to wipe the jailbreak and get onto Apple about it and see what they say. It's onlt 4 months old, never been dropped or anything. Strange.

    Thanks again.

The jb could of had something to do with it. I had similar problems with an iPhone 4 before when it was jail broken
