Don't know if anyone has been following this but <snip> are getting slated at the moment.
The story goes a little some thing like this; A party of eleven wanted to have a meeting in The meeting was nothing formal or structured and the content wasn't provocative. The organiser tried five times to ring ahead but each time she rang the number given on the website it rang out. She also placed a tweet On their twitter to which she recieved no response. As she knew they had two floors, all her and her party wanted was space, coffee with possibly a little cake and she was going to a Tuesday night which is usually quiet so she decided to go anyway. When she and her party arrived they were met at the door by a waitress who assured them that they could be accommodated and promptly bought them upstairs and got them seats and took orders. There were only two other people on the floor that they were on so they began their discussion. Ten minuted in a man who identified himself as the owner came upstairs. He began yelling that they could not bring such a large party to his venue without prior notice and told them all to leave immediately. The organiser showed him her phone which showed phone calls that she had tried to make. The owner informed her that the wrong phone number was on their website. She then showed him the tweet. He replied he wasn't even aware that his restaurant had a twitter account. He told them all to leave immediately. They were all a bit shocked but left.
The organiser complained on the restaurant Facebook site. Nothing abusive just said she was really annoyed would not be going back would not be recommending it etc. Almost immediately she got an abusive response from some one at the restaurant. This opened the floodgates and soon others began to add their own comments about previous bad customer service experiences at <snip>. <snip> replies got more and more abusive. Eventually <snip> put up a post of it's own saying something along the lines of "The customer is not always right. Our place our rules". Here is a link to it if you like that kind of
So what do you think? left over Celtic Tiger pretentiousness or did <snip> have a point? Has this kind of thing happened to you at <snip> or anywhere else?

If the wheelchair/nightclub thread taught us anything, it's that there are two sides to every story.

Please keep this on Facebook and don't drag boards into it.
