To be fair, it was always like this, that's what makes it entertaining!

What annoyed me was at least three of the business plans started with, "I want to set up an online 'blah'". It doesn't take £250,000 to set up a website. Neil has been working on his website business plan for 2 years? Sure you can learn HTML in a weekend. Domain name registration £10, rent a server for a year ~£20 a month, and off you go.

Yeah you can learn HTML quickly but if you only use that, your site will probably look and feel like something from the 90s. Building an eCommerce site involves much more substantial and complex technology.

Considering he has been 'working' on his 'dream' for two years, and his dream is an online venture, not having some kind of a website set up already is unbelievable.

I would be embarrassed to try to pitch an online idea to Lord Sugar, a man who is very tech savvy, and not have at least a mock up website to show. Its not a million miles away from the boys at the start of the series trying to sell beer to a pub landlord and not bringing any samples with them.

I don't like her at all. "The sex appeal of Jessica Rabbit and the Brain of Einstein"

Agreed. Her personal life is her own business.

I do quite like her as well. I couldn't stand her for most of the series but warmed to her during the interviews. I love how nothing fazed her - she had the perfect answer for everything that was thrown at her. She'd be an absolute pain in the neck to work with but I can see her being successful in whatever she does.

Not a fan either. The brain of Einstein bit is a bit much. As for the sex appeal of Jessica Rabbit, I beg to disagree. She is attractive, but Jessica Rabbit she ain't. She's like a preying mantis. If I slept with her, I'd be concerned about her eating me afterwards.

True. Most likely down to her massive confidence. She believes she has a brain like Einstein.... I don't know her personally, but i doubt it..
as for the Sex appeal of Jessica Rabbit, on a personal note, i don't find her attractive, and definitely do not find her sexy. Mind you, i wasn't mad into the Cartoon either so she may be right there.

The thing i can't get about all of them, not just her, is the amount of cráp they write, and believe they have to write, along with the amount of bullshít confidence in themselves.
Being realistic, anyone well and truly worth their salt in the Business world (Or any world) would probably not enter a competition like this.

As Far as i know none of the previous winners have lasted longer then 2 years. - I could be very wrong there, i don't know where i picked up that info, i vaguely remember hearing or reading it somewhere..

I suppose it's not really that surprising that the earlier winners seemed to use the show as a platform for other things rather than carving a career with Sugar. Has anyone encountered one of Thomas Pellereaus inventions yet?

I follow him on Twitter. He's promoting a nail clippers for babies at the moment that I'm actually interested in :o

I think the thing with an 'apprentice' though is that they're supposed to go off on their own after a short time. If the experience of working with Lord Sugar gave them the skills and confidence they needed to go off and start their own business, then I'd consider that a success.

I use his nail file, it's really good!

I think Luisa will win, purely because her business is less risky, which is annoying.

Its interesting to read that all the previous female winners lasted only a year, if that, working with Lord Sugar. One took maternity leave shortly after starting work with Lord Sugar. Another one sued him for unfair dismissal which she lost.

Will Lord Sugar be thinking which of the two girls remaining is more likely to walk out or sue him? I reckon Leah is the less likely one to do that.

I agree. She was portrayed as quite a vile b1tchy person for much of the series but I thought she did really well in the interviews. She has a natural exuberance, I actually don't think it's arrogance. She's just extremely confident and seems to have done ok for herself so far.
She's not too different from a lot of other women her age, albeit someone who seems very eager to get in front of a camera, judging by the amount of stuff online about her.

I'd definitely buy one of those!!!

Regarding the final tonight, I can't warm to either of the finalists. Usually I have a preference for a winner but this year I actually don't care. :(

Yeah I can't warm to either of the finalists, most years I'm shouting for somebody, couldn't care less this year.

Yeah, I've seen some newspaper reviews saying this year has been a return to form after some lacklustre seasons but I thought they were all very poor this year including Lord Sugar and even his interviewers. All seemed to be just going through the motions.

It was only looks that got them this far, Leah is definitely a doctor all men would love to walk in to check them over and Louisa I don't know how to put it but probably a bit on the easy side, she will be on your tv in the future guaranteed

I think its a little disingenuous to say their looks got them this far. Looks aside, Luisa runs 3 successful businesses. Leah is a doctor and has a photographic memory, she was able to rhyme off all her figures down to what she would pay the cleaner in the interviews. Other candidates picked numbers out of thin air. or didn't have the right numbers to hand.

I ment more so in the tv show not life, I believe she wasn't getting a cleaner she was going to do it herself, I believe that some of the first few that went had better ideas than this, I'm not trying to derogatory but I believe the BBC picked these ladies to go through for ratings.

She said how much she was going to pay the cleaner, and then said "To be honest, for the first year I'd probably do the cleaning myself".

I don't think Lord Sugar is thinking what his potential business partner looks like when he is deciding which one to fire, and I really doubt the BBC tell him don't fire that one because she is hot.

I don't disagree that all the candidates fit certain societal ideals looks wise. There wasn't a single unattractive candidate, aside, IMO, from the one who left in episode one.

For the first time in years I can say I'm genuinely looking forward to the final :)

Off-topic I know, but does anyone know if Leah travels on an Irish or British passport?

She's from the Waterside area in Derry and her surname is Totton.
I would imagine, therefore, she uses a British passport.
