    People need to realise that Kickstarter isn't funding, it's preordering.

    There are many legitimate ways to invest/finance film with either a view to profit sharing or philanthropy. Kickstarter is not one of them. It works well for small projects by amateurs, but professional companies are milking the goodwill of their fans with this.
