So without getting into, or looking for too much detail, I was speaking with a friend of mine, and she informed me we are "doing it wrong". She was told (by her fertility specialist, that she should be using only the missionary (him on top) and staying on her back with hips elevated for 30 minutes afterward, for the best chance to conceive.

Not saying that we never do it that way, but variety is the spice of life, no???? Anyway, just wondering if everyone else follow this?

No haha, it sounds slightly OTT to me. Pretty sure people have managed to get pregnant using other positions :P :)
I have however heard that people trying for a specific gender, will use certain positions, not sure how much truth is in that either though!

Nope. In fact, thanks to being on Clomid +Timed, I know the exact *ahem* event that I conceived, and it was NOT missionary. ;)

Nonsense we too are trying and read up on how to increase chances and it stated this was a long held myth with no scientific proof. when I was previously pregnant I can tell you that the Missionary was not the reason

Jesus, as if scheduled sex wasn't unromantic enough.

    This is funny.

I remember watching a programme on childbirth with Zoe Ball as the presenter a few years ago and she was with one couple who were having a home birth.

The woman was managing her contractions by bending over a yoga / birthing ball and her partner said "might as well get it out the way it went in"...........
His wife/girlfriend gave him the dirtiest look I have ever seen and given how strongly she grabbed his hand with the next contaction I bet he had a few broken bones!

It was hillarious. Poor woman. :o
Goes to show though that missionary was not responsible for her prediciment either.
