Retro, Easy,Phever, The Cube and Trax are all off. Easy and Retro off for Antenna work and technical issues respectively.

Chill,Now, Hot and Dance One (aka Fresh ) remain on for the moment.

now were off earlier due to technical issues.

Just listening to Hot, they seem to have a sizable audience based on the number of text being read out by the on-air DJ, unless of course he’s making them up

COMREG spotted around the hills this weekend. The Boys are Back in Town

RTE not happy with anything on 91.6 Or 92

    TIMES ARE A CHANGING

Spirit Radio are on a carrier with RDS, at least on 89.9 and 92.2.

Can you back up your comments re RTE ?

The lack of stations on air over the last few days is possibly down to increased Comreg activity and/or stations FM sites and the site owners coming under scrutiny similar to the early '00s.

Why now is any ones guess though an increase in mainstream music probably annoyed one or two stations.

Personally I doubt if RTE are particularly bothered by a low power oldies weekend only station .7mhz away from their 'Youth' station....

91.6 has been used by any stations since late last year.

I imagine 91.0fm is an issue also

Is the Hot FM alternative stream still up, broadcasting different audio?

still up but playing the same audio as the main stream. all be it at a faster speed for some reason.

Would there have been heavy snowfall at those sites over the past day+ ? affecting the dishes??

Spirit still on FM elsewhere in the country and still on 549kHz AM/MW, BTW had a tune further up that band and horrific echo problems happening currently on 1053 and 1089 kHz.

It's back on now - both 89.9 and 92.2. It doesn't sound like a weather issue on the site end if both came back at the same time. Plus I presume they are shared sites, I'm not aware of any other stations having issues from them.

True there. The man can talk but is a liability. He is in spain out of reach meanwhile his well known station manager is running Hot fm taking all the risks together with property owner of broadcast site, they could end up taking full force of action from comreg.Very big risk.

He is probably laughing over in Spain saying those silly Irish people again let's rip Ireland off then we have this may one trying to put a border between Northern Ireland and Ireland not seeing all English people are bad but that Kennedy and that may one has to be the worst

It's hard to believe that Hot Fm will be back on air one year in May ! I just don't know how it's lasted this long, and Comreg have done nothing to put it off air, it's a bad frequency to use and will draw unwanted attention to other more responsibe operators.

What are they doing or rather not doing serious amount of breakdowns all the time
